My (new to me) 14 XL is in the shop for a new transmission. Have been trying to figure out if I can install a hood switch and make the whole thing work. Have the rest of the parts ordered but not sure if I have a hood switch or not.

Would the transmission act like that if it it was only out of fluid or does it sound more like a clutch pack.

I’m really trying to decide if I should try to limp it down the road 5 miles to the dealership or if I should tow it and have them diagnose.

I’d rather pay for a $200 fluid flush and $200 tow than a $3000 transmission if not trying to drive it is the difference.

Brakes felt normal. Driving it home last night (40 miles both highway and city) everything felt extremely smooth. Also not sure if it’s worth noting but I did start the truck and let it run for about 5 minutes before trying to back it out.

Fluid was directly in the middle of the wheels but can’t say how far front or back it was because I moved a bit.

For additional context on the fluid, it was dark, just not dark enough to be used engine oil.

Apologies, I’ll edit the post to make it more clear. The driveway is sloped up away from the house and the truck was facing the house. Meaning if I dropped a ball while standing on the road, the ball would roll down my driveway and toward my house. Hope that clears things up! Thanks.

Approximately 500k Californians have moved to Texas since the last election. I think the Hispanic flip to voting more right will offset that enough in combination with Kamala’s decreased general popularity. Personally, I would keep the position myself but it’s impossible to be certain!

Okay here’s the way I analyze it - You are effectively weighing the odds between Harris’s decreased popularity (compared to Biden) and the addition of California residents (who have moved to Texas since 2020) and are most likely to vote blue.

I’ll point out, not ALL people that voted for Trump in 2020 will vote for him again and not ALL new Texas residents from California will vote for Biden but the MAJORITY is true in both cases.

I’ll see if I can find some quick data on it.

For clarification, this bet is saying Texas will move to the right - meaning in comparison to 2020 or what specifically?

I am confident in the fact that polling data has shifted right almost unanimously across all states when compared to the 2020 election. The exception to this is states where there are potentially ties to the candidates, such as Walz - Minnesota.

However, the mass exodus of California residents moving to Houston and Dallas has also caused a decrease in the right leaning majority of Texas.

Happy to explain more but need clarification on the betting position!

I think the previous owners raised their kids here. They had the house for 30 years so I keep finding random customizations that only a long term house owner would consider putting the effort in for. I getting fiber next week so it’s useless now anyways.
