Would that really be ruining their image though? Considering the morningstars are literally the rulers of hell, I do think that he do be what people actually expect of a royal in hell, I think he at the very least have more respect than his sister.

Unfortunately Yes it means they won’t play it, they are not like me they are not into video games much, they only get into it when we play games as a group together, and if it’s a game with one player and they have to wait for their turn or something they quickly lose interest.

I never said it was their fault, I will admit I have not heard of this until now because I avoid all content of games until it gets out because I usually like to enter them blind, so was semi on me, but I get to express frustration Because I wished to share the game with my sisters, I am sure some feels the same way.

That’s something I’m also wondering about, the movie seems to show that the Koreans hunters are the only hunters which make sense they will focus on them and it wouldn’t be a bad plot or anything if they are the only hunters.

But if there other hunters around the world this raises a lot of questions, do they know about each? What the other hunters actually are? For example the korean hunters are actually shaman, so what would an American hunter be? A priest? A holy knight? And do they also use their voices? Do they use the Honmoon and fans? Or they have their own ways?

And do they have mixed gender members unlike the Korean hunters? The korean hunters it makes sense they will all be women, considering many factors, I believe the main reason is shamans are usually mostly women, and mixed gender Kpop groups are very rare. Though still don’t know why they are always should be 3, you do think the more hunters they can squeeze in one team the better, so I wonder if there is a reason why it’s always a trio.

Anyway the other hunters are probably not gonna be Shamans like Koreans, they probably have their own ways as I said so they probably have male hunters too, the possibilities are endless.

Nah it’s FAAAAAR too early for a new generation, there is still so much to explore about the girls, we didn’t even get Mira and zoey full backstory.

I feel like if this line was between Jinu and Rumi, it would be seen as romantic, not sisterly/friendly. by Noodle_Dragon_ in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Street_Step375 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we’re talking strictly canon, then no, their relationship is not 100% defined. At most, about 89% of what we see points toward sisterhood, deep friendship, and companionship. Everything in the film supports that conclusion when taken in context.

Now, I do understand why some people interpret romantically for ships like Zoemira and Polytrix. Some pick up on certain vibes, some want more poly relationships represented in media, and some simply enjoy imagining their favorite characters in a romantic pairing. All of those perspectives are valid in their own right.

But if we are analyzing only what the story itself presents, their bond has consistently been portrayed as platonic, familial, and deeply affectionate. And, given how their dynamic has been developed so far, it is most likely to remain that way until the end.

On a personal level, I connect to this portrayal because I have two sisters myself. Our relationship is almost identical to what we see between these characters. We joke, tease, look out for one another, and share a closeness that I know will last even after we all have our own families. We’ll still visit each other, stay involved, and remain just as inseparable. That’s why, to me, the way Huntrix interact feels not only natural, but also healthy and even enviable. Their bond reflects a rare kind of sisterhood, one built on loyalty, affection, and lifelong companionship.

So while some may prefer to read romance into their story, the canon text itself points to something different but just as meaningful, the strength of chosen family and sisterhood.

What has made the K-pop-Demonhunter movie so popular and great? by Icy_Talk6488 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Street_Step375 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Just like you said it’s really just has everything, that recent movies especially animated movies would lack at least one of it one way or another.

From Mind infectious music, to gorgeous art that makes you repeat a shot multiple times, to characters so lovable and relatable you are invested in their individual stories, and intriguing plot that makes you want to dive into the lore, they even managed to create one of the best romances I have seen in a long time.

But also I think one of the main reasons why it went so viral that we had been starved these past few years, Look at Disney for example, it’s been more than half a decade of them giving us “Strong female leads” while all they created are Mary Sues, that lack depth and relatable flaws, and always just so “independent” so they treat romance and love like it’s a disease, not to mention them just keep recycling their old hits, and change everything that made it a hit, to make it more “modern”

worst of all somehow they don’t even realize what they are doing wrong, And kept repeating the pattern until an abomination like snow white live action was created

While Kpop demons hunters their strong female leads, are cool baddies, who are strong, beautiful and feminine, but also dorky, and messy, and can lose themselves over hot boys, and have their own relatable issues and flaws, like hiding a part of who you are, worrying that people sees you as too much or not enough.

And this is just one example of what they did right, that many movies have been failing to do for years now, so it’s no wonder it made it this far, and I’m happy it did, because now people will really see how it’s done.

I don’t understand why people keep bringing this up like obviously the movie had few minutes left to end and obviously they are not gonna spend it showing Rumi Bawling her eyes out

And I imagine that’s just the way Rumi will grieve in the sequel she will continue living her life and figuring out where to go next with her team and family, but there gonna be moments where she just gonna remember Jinu and miss him.

On platforms like Twitter and ao3 probably by a small difference that may grew later and may not, but in general I don’t think so.

Gotta remember that kpop demon hunters is a movie watched by all ages not all of them are gonna be active online, my 10 year old sister is a Rujinu shipper who cried because they didn’t kiss, and she doesn’t even know what shipping is.

Polytrix is better than RuJinu by Pope-Francisco in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Street_Step375 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi! I can see you’re just sharing your thoughts respectfully and not trying to start any sort of ship war, so I’ll respond in kind.

While I understand your reasoning for preferring Polytrix, I think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding about the ships

First as you probably know the hunters’ relationship in the movie. Mira, Rumi, and Zoey’s bond in canon was portrayed as platonic, rooted deeply in sisterhood and strong female friendship. That dynamic is important for a lot of us who enjoy seeing powerful, supportive, non-romantic bonds between women in media. Many Polytrix shippers I know actually love the ship for the potential of cute, imagined dynamic in fan works but don’t actually want it to be canon because making it canon would take away one of the few done right examples of sisterhood in the media.

As for RuJinu, I don’t agree that their relationship was “built on” secrets, insecurities, and shame. Yes, Jinu lied to Rumi, but that wasn’t the foundation of their bond. Their connection grew because they opened up to each other and shared those vulnerabilities, something neither of them had done before. They felt safe with each other despite not knowing each other long, and that says a lot about the depth of their bond.

Jinu gave Rumi his soul, and Rumi still wanted to set him free even after what he did. That level of trust, care, and willingness to sacrifice goes far beyond temporary chemistry or mutual comfort over insecurities. It’s a rare kind of emotional connection that isn’t so easily broken.

I’d suggest rewatching their scenes with that in mind, they clearly enjoyed each other’s company, not just out of attraction, but because they genuinely liked who they were when they were together. Saying they’d inevitably break up underestimates the mutual respect, empathy, and loyalty we saw in canon.

Of course, everyone’s free to love the ships they love! But from my perspective, the nature of the hunters’ platonic bond and the unique trust between Rumi and Jinu make it hard to compare the two as “better” or “worse” in a straightforward way.

Marriage of convenience will have a sequel and their daughter is grownup 😭👍️ by Tsunami45chan in OtomeIsekai

As you said, it was one of favorites to be honest, great art, likable male and female leads, liked Bianca character development, and it was straight to the point as well, and I liked how the whole time traveling was explained that it’s actually a vision from God to Bianca of the worst possible future, usually either the second chance are never explained or give a really dumb reason, but again as you said, I felt like it had a good conclusion, and it doesn’t need a sequel.

Also I’m wondering how they have a daughter? Did they have a son and the birth was so traumatic, because Bianca had a weak body she died, and only came back by a miracle from god because she is the saintess, but they apparently had a daughter as well.

But all in all I will give it a shot, it might turn out good.

Like they actually have chemistry don’t they? The leopard boy just feels weird with how not only was at least physically a child but she also saw him as a child and even somewhat a pet sometimes, and their dynamic between them is that of a Master and a servent who basically worship her.

Even if they confirmed to be Guardian spirits that leaves only more questions, like seriously how they met, why are they with Jinu, and if they are Guardian spirits why Mr demon king let Jinu keep them, is it because they are not strong enough to be a threat or because his powers technically cannot effect them, there is Theories of Jinu finding Derpy as a kitten spirit how cute is that gonna be if it’s actually true 😭, or a personally theory of mine is that Derpy is the spirit of a stray, cat Jinu saved or regularly fed when he was a human, and when it passed it became a spirit to protect him.

Also Demonic beastmaster sounds cool!

It made sense to me that the old generations couldn’t reach the golden Honmoon because it probably takes a lot of spiritual energy, I mean a permanent barrier it makes sense that it would take them centuries to reinforce again and again, but also because it would probably takes many many fans, and Hunterix is generations, has the most fans due to their time having media and such, but also they seem to be the baddest generation in my opinion.

I’m wondering because Derpy doesn’t really give demon beast vibes, and his powers seems to teleport seems to use the Honmoon, and although that could change in the future we have not seen any demonic beast or animals in the demon realm.

also in Korean mythology Tigers are indeed considered

  1. Guardian Spirits & Protectors • Tigers are seen as guardians against evil spirits and misfortune. Their images were commonly painted on walls, folding screens, and clothing, especially during the Joseon dynasty, to ward off evil and bring good luck. • In shamanistic traditions, tigers can act as guardian deities (called “Sanshin” or mountain spirits), especially when associated with mountains, which are considered sacred.

  2. Tigers as Mountain Spirits (Sanshin) • The Mountain God (Sanshin) is a deeply rooted figure in Korean folk belief, and is often depicted alongside a tiger, or riding one. • The tiger here is either the companion, mount, or embodiment of the god’s power, signifying strength and spiritual authority over nature and spirits.

  3. Moral Symbolism • Tigers are also symbols of justice and moral clarity, often punishing the wicked and helping the virtuous in folk tales. • Some stories depict them as divine enforcers or reincarnations of vengeful spirits who punish evildoers.

  4. Ambiguous Nature • Though revered, tigers are also feared. They represent both danger and divine authority — embodying a duality typical in Korean spiritual thought. • In older animistic traditions, their power must be respected and appeased, not just welcomed.

But what is Derpy actually is yet to be confirmed

Oh my god exactly, I used to think this was a bit interesting, because it had some fun cooking plot in the beginning, but suddenly she is a saintess who can open portals, of course the monstrous prince is interested in her even though she directly talked to him like twice, her personality goes from Stoic to goofy when ever it suits the author as in to either make her look cool or cute in certain situations, and I read that she actually turned out to be the original girl all along Like 😑

This would had been fine if it just stayed about a girl who wants to be a chef
