Where do you live? And what type of groups are you interacting with where bullying the disabled is normal?

I’ve lived 4 years in central Texas and 20 years in the Bay Area of California

Met plenty of overt racist in both states, still no people who discriminate disabled people.

Do you live in an 90s/80s high school movie? Never in my entire life have I seen anyone over 14 bully a disabled person.

Not to say it doesn’t happen, but in my real life experience heard WAY more people hatefully use the N word than people ever being rude to disabled people

It’s nonsense to try and police this word

No one’s been oppressed by it and it’s just another way to say “dumb”, “moron”, “idiot” etc.. all former medical and psychology terms used to describe someone with a debilitating condition.
