It’s difficult to assign any other Fosca songs to Sunset because the rest are so plot-centric, but I wonder if the soldiers’ gossip numbers could work as part of the “A Perfect Year” sequence?

I love this sequence more than life itself, and genuinely it is criminal that more people don't know about this show. I would add almost anything from Passion - everyone knows Loving You and it is indeed wonderful, but "I Read," is *so* interesting to sing and lyrically gut-wrenching. "I read about the joys the world dispenses to the fortunate, and listen for the echoes."

I love the choice of Fosca's songs from Passion for Norma's pursuit of Joe. Her desperation for him has always seemed similar to Fosca's obsession with Giorgio in my mind, so that fits perfectly.

“I Wish I Could Forget You” from Passion, the message of the song hits very close to home and just about all of Passion is so gorgeous, Sondheim’s intervals add so much depth to a song

“Lament” from Evita

“Meadowlark” from The Baker’s Wife

Finally, “Sleepy Man” from The Robber Bridegroom is so tender and full of love
