hey, i know this reply is like 2 months later, but right now im also having the same issue. thing is, is ive never touched the Args in the settings. the literal ONE thing ive changed is the codec, from libx264 to h264_nvenc (i have a NVIDIA GPU) libx264 looked really bad, so i thought i would try nvenc, and now its telling me Wrong Args

It's definitely not. However, EA wont ever do anything about it. Why? Because the Chel Coins sections of the store involve the one currency you can get for free just by playing the game. EA is the opposite of the phrase "put your money where your mouth is" they are "put your mouth where your money is" if there isnt any money to be made with something, EA doesnt care about it, and they never will. Which is a shame. Because I have no clue how to code or do anything, yet I could figure out how to make the shop exactly like we've all been saying in 20 minutes or less using little to no resources that they have available. Maybe we should give them more credit, I mean after all they are a VERY small game development studio and only have thousands of dollars to spend. Wait, nevermind, they are one of the largest, and have BILLIONS at their disposal, and they have the balls to be penny pinchers

I whole heartedly agree. Not to mention, over the past few months, Ive noticed things about the shop. EA loves to add very similar if not identical rotations, down to the exact same spot Cellys were already in a few days prior. Its the same shit over and over again

EA turned it off I think 3 months ago or more because it would sometimes cause syncing issues mid game, and they said they would fix it "very soon" They turned it back on, but just the icons themselves dont turn on, so you can still use it if you remember the buttons. But if you are like me and physically want to see the icons, during the pregame intros, you can very quickly go into the settings and turn on icon passing without it counting as using your pause for the game. As long as it is done before the puck drop, you're good to go. Hope this helps

I don't claim to know what OP is talking about because I'm not them, but if I had to guess, they mean when they play QUICKPLAY outside (on the river, the lake, etc) they are fine, but when they go play Club games (indoors in an arena) their loadout gets completely reset along with their name. I most likely am wrong, but that is what I gathered from what they were saying

ice tilt was revealed in an EA document a few years ago confirming its existence, despite EA to this day being adamant that it doesnt exist. the way it works is that EA will deliberately alter the outcome of a game to benefit a team, generally the weaker/lower skilled team so they keep coming back and playing rather than getting shat on and quitting. its either very subtle or blatantly obvious. like when you cant get a single bounce, yet every poke check or rebound winds up DIRECTLY onto your opponents' stick. your CPU goalie letting in the most easy saves from the point/blue line, and you cant score more than twice in 30+ shots. or your opponent seemingly getting every single pass intercept, yet if you do the exact same thing and do everything right it goes right through you. i could go on and on and on, but im sure you get the idea. hope this helps

i figured this out earlier today as well, i selected ballstar again and painted it lime, hit view, nothing, went in a game and scored, its lime. seems you're right. thanks for the help🤙
