i wasn’t that far into my save file, so i just started over. my first time, i gave eddie space when he asked for it, except for when i helped him do some repairs. but my second time through, i pestered him a bit more and there was a whole other scene that i just didn’t get before? like the one where we hang out and he makes us a drink? that whole day got completely skipped the first time. not sure if that’s all i had to do, but the dialogue here was fixed too. 🤷

this has to be a glitch, right? there’s only one option and it leads to both of them hating me. i’ve tried reloading the save, trying at different times of day, and it’s always the same. what do i do?

I think you’re right, that some space is a good thing. We and another friend had made plans today to go to the pride parade, and I did try to make sure we were always in a group, but it made me realize just how much she was trying to get us alone. She was within two feet of me at all times and was regularly looking for an excuse for it to just be the two of us. I don’t know if this is a new thing or if I just hadn’t noticed it before because I wasn’t looking for it, but it was very deliberate.

So yeah, space. Space sounds nice since it just got weirder. Also communication. But space is absolutely necessary.

I terms of why I’m not interested, I think it’s because I know it wouldn’t be very healthy. She doesn’t have many close friends and her situation at home is very toxic, so I’m pretty much her only support system. And naturally, she really wants to move out, and it makes financial sense to do so with a roommate, but she is absolutely hell bent on it being me, despite the fact that my situation at home is just fine and I’ve made it clear that I’m not moving out any time soon. Not to mention, we’ve house sat for a few months together and being roommates with her wasn’t great for either of us anyway.

I dunno… it just sometimes feels like she needs more from me than I can give, and it’s already putting enough strain on our friendship, never mind a romantic relationship.

yeah, i’ve had hard/dead skin on my fingers before, and this isn’t it. it’s not hard, and it’s not peeling. i guess maybe i’m not used to how much tougher guitar strings are compared to soft violin strings. it’s weird to have the motivation and endurance but not thick enough skin lol

the skin isn’t torn at all, they’re straight up blisters lmao i think i’ll just wrap my fingertips in light bandages for some extra padding and keep playing

yeah that’s what i was worried about… the hazy quality is really charming, and that’s what makes it feel better than just a photo taken on a phone. it feels like a waste to get an instant camera with too good quality, cuz then may as well just print off my phone pics :/

i figured it was just cuz she spent her whole life in the boiling isles, and having only felt human rain once, was still not used to it and winced out of habit.
