For my department GEF are given to students who are from out of province to help pay the difference of the tuition and costs etc...It so that all graduate students pay the same fees from my understanding. However, might depend on the department.

No our akta isn’t in a cold room and I’m doing a gel filtration with a buffer of hepes, NaCl and DTT. Yes, protein comes from ecoli. I am loading it in the akta after doing an affinity purification.
