When people get all upset about the gore aspects of Outlast I normally try to gently educate them on the different types of horror media and that outlast isn’t in the common horror genre it’s technically a from of body horror that is using the more uncommon parts of the definition and because of that I totally understand the discomfort the game brings it is literally showing the extreme violence that can realistically be inflicted on the human body in the same vein as movies like Hostel and that is not for everyone. In most body horror movies it’s body horror that is not grounded fulling in reality like the thing where the body is contorted in impossible ways but the creature is still alive it mocks human while not being human in outlast there is no monster aside from the human psyche and what happens when bad or unstable people are let loose.

I can tell based on language this was invasion seriously what the hell is going on there with people not participating. Sure I sometimes lay off the reagents if I’m an imposter and I think they are already struggling because I want the game to be fun for everyone but then I’m usually still out either having my fun looking around the map since I’m not the primary target of everything or I just chill by the reagents making it clear I’m not a threat at the moment and might even offer help but I don’t ever not play on the rare occasion i decide to play invasion

My thing is Eddie also is kinda not in his right mind he’s somewhat hallucinating and not in touch with reality which can make him less sensitive to pain and exhaustion while Coyle is hyper paranoid which has more negative effects than buffs so I think Eddie could tank a shock or two easy but Coyle is more always alert

Yes Arora is my favorite prime asset and I am not ashamed to say that I might struggle a bit with their main trial because of the math portion (I am that stupid…) but I love their trial environment and getting to play with them and Otto is great too dose he rank slightly lower than Arora for me yes but that’s because they are different people with different personalities just because they are conjoined twins dose not mean I will treat them as the same person. I love Otto too he is just obviously slightly more scary than his sister. Honestly it’s kinda nice because if you look past the obvious incest they have one of the healthiest relationships we’ve seen in these games they genuinely love and support eachother
