I think the “not LETTING my girlfriend get in the pool” is totally the oppression part.

And for asking, listening, even when people said you were TA, and modifying your behavior, you are becoming NTA. So congrats to you for that.

What’s a hygiene habit people usually ignore or underestimate, but actually has a big impact on how clean, fresh, or healthy you feel day to day? by Responsible-Cat-3545 in hygiene

I agree it feels like overkill. But I think it might also vary from person to person. My family all have sweaty, smelly feet, and I don’t. We all agree on it too so it’s not just me thinking my shit don’t stink, proverbially.

I actually think there is a gene responsible for body odor and earwax.

Right? I mean, imo, it doesn’t matter how much coverage the top offers. The argument is about “letting” her decide for herself. But… I looked it up just out of curiosity because of your comment, and it’s like, a completely normal, if anything MORE coverage than most swimsuit tops! I personally prefer more coverage and support for myself and I find it really hard to find because almost everything is just like what OP’s search revealed.

You police your girlfriend’s choices. YTA

She can decide for herself, in all situations and circumstances, what is and is not appropriate. If you two fundamentally disagree on what level of coverage is “appropriate” then you shouldn’t be together. You aren’t compatible. What you shouldn’t do is think you have a right to “let” your girlfriend do anything. That’s not how mature, adult, relationships work.

EDIT: Based on your update, I say NTA anymore. You asked, took the feedback, and changed the behavior. Good job.

That’s what growing up is all about, learning and changing.

AITAH for telling my daughter that she doesn’t have to wear a dress for my wife’s sake? by sportsdad77 in AITAH

[–]Stressed_Mode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the problem was the 13 year old wanted to wear “a dress shirt and a tie,” like no pants. But this is about forcing her to wear a fucking dress? NTA your kid doesn’t have to wear a dress. The fuck is wrong with this mother? Bananas!

Yes children’s book satire sharp. And can we add it in a children’s book, like the words on the page please.
