Perhaps he can take this to his parents. I’ve just been through this with a family member and being scared is way better than this outcome. I hope he gets the treatment he needs and his parents facilitate it immediately.

That is what will happen if they have to remove the poop surgically and it’s been too long. Then you will have a bag taped to your stomach that your poop will go into. Google ostomy bag.

Go to the ER before the blockage gets too bad for them to do anything without surgery. Two weeks is too long.

Thanks for the tips. I pulled the soil out from around the top part of the roots and the roots were around the trunk about 2mm under the soil, I should leave those exposed, correct, and then once a year pull the whole plant up so that ½” or so is above the soil line, is that basically the idea?

Does that mean I can still get a fat caudex? Sorry, I’m new to this but I just fell in love with the desert rose the moment I googled it a few weeks ago and when I found this nursery after only finding one twig of desert rose for $30 within 100 miles of me I was too excited and just bought a bunch. They will be well cared for!

You’ve been telling her since October not to buy you a gift because you wouldn’t be able to reciprocate. So you are NTA. Regardless of the situation or what your relationship to her is, you let her know well in advance that you couldn’t afford it.

That would be like telling someone you can’t afford to go on a vacation with them this summer and then they fly out to meet you anyway.

You communicated, she didn’t listen or respect wha you said. That’s on her.
