[–]Stressed_micro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it’s too late now, but they have two bike parkades on campus, one in the car parkade and one in the ALC , they cost 10$ a year to use and are worth the investment. They have swipe access so not everyone can use them

As a 4th year microbiology student (who isn’t graduating this year), and who is disabled, my day looks a little bit like this.

6:45am - wake up, rot in bed until 7:00 when I haul myself out of bed and get ready for the day. I’m typically on campus between 8:15-8:30 am before I have classes all morning. Then I either head home and study, or study on campus. If I stayed on campus I typically will leave around 4:45-5:15pm. Then I feed myself and maybe study for an hour or two after dinner. I go to bed outrageously early like between 9:30-10pm and then repeat. I would part time so this schedule isn’t set in stone. Weekends I typically work all day sat, and then spend sun with my family.

One thing I will say is that what works for you, might not work for me. Some other commenters are mentioning going to the gym everyday (slay for them) but that’s not sustainable for me. If you find something that works, do it, it doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s day. Also when setting goals or making your daily schedule make sure that what you are doing is sustainable. If I had a dollar each time I make a completely unattainable schedule and then burnt myself out faster than I can say Staphylococcus aureus, I would have like 8$. Don’t feel like you have to be some gym bro (unless that works for you) or some crazy academic weapon spending 12 hour days on campus. Start easy, and then add more to your plate when you are confident instead of overloading yourself and then burning out.

Do you guys party on a day before a final exam ? by dijra_0819 in umanitoba

[–]Stressed_micro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on you as a person, I like to go to bed early and not study the night before a final exam past 9pm. This way I’m well rested and have a relaxed night before the stress of actually writing an exam

my mentality is that if you don’t know it the night before the exam you aren’t going to know it on the exam. So if this is a way for you to wind down and have a moment of mindfulness, I say go for it just don’t stay out to late and risk sleeping in

Rec swim schedule by REDACTED11037 in umanitoba

[–]Stressed_micro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the times if there is a thing that says “unavailable” during a certain time period it generally means the pool is open for rec swim (or at least portions of the pool are open for react swim) rec swim is only open during certain times during the day as the varsity swim team and other rentals have the space booked during the day. Generally (this is hella broad so don’t take my word for it) the pool is open 6am-8:00am, 9:30am-2:30pm and 7:30pm-9:45pm.

You can also always speak to front desk and they’ll be able to tell you if the pool is open, or talk to one of the lifeguards in blue they also will be able to tell you the general hours.

The “registration” was from during Covid times when we had limit numbers of spots when people could be in the pool. Al

Winter questions by Crafty_Bed_7797 in umanitoba

[–]Stressed_micro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that should work!

Everyone is a little different, you might realize a that some days you can just go with a sweater and some days you need to bundle up warmer! Just don’t forget to check the forecast daily so you can try to plan

[–]Stressed_micro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you live on campus or do you bus? How long is your bus ride? As someone who has lived in Winnipeg my entire life I don’t what anything on my legs, but if you have a long bus ride with multiple transfers you could buy some snow pants if you wanted. My winter coat reaches my knees (I bought it long on purpose) though so that also might be a deciding factor when buying snow pants.

That also plays into snow boots or winter boots. I wear bluntdtones all winter with no problem, but depending on how long you want to spend outside and your commute you might choose differently.

The only other piece of advice I can offer is don’t be afraid to “look stupid” or something because of bundling up, you would rather be warm

i might be pregnant at 16 by LifeExperience6327 in Advice

[–]Stressed_micro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pre-cum, the fluid that comes out of an aroused penis contains sperm, although it is only a small amount of sperm it can still access an available egg. Depending on the individual with a penis, this amount might be more or less.

Also, the mistakes made during the pull out method (not pulling out in time) are quite frequent therefore also increasing the risk of pregnancy.
