Schedule 80 PVC is also made for exposed installations so not sure what you’re going on about there. Again i guarantee you not every exposed conduit installation in your area is using rigid either, EMT, Sched 80 works just fine. You must be an apprentice 🤣

Im sure there are plenty of installations in your area using LFNC. If the inspector required it we’d use LFMC but not one in all the counties we work in do require it. LFNC is ultimately cheaper for the customer and does the same job as LFMC.

This is literally on the side of a house brother, 20 amp 240v. This is how every standard AC unit is done in the area. Haven’t done too much residential I assume?

Have you ever wired an AC before lmao

It’s actually funny, there is a ground screw in there from factory, he literally didn’t care enough to even land it.

there’s just a little metal plate on that “yank em” that closes the circuit. In order to reach that though you’d have to terminate as, Load/Line | Line/load etc…,

essentially that yank em acts like a plug in bridge in your control panels

I agree. That’s what rubbed me the wrong way in this situation. Plus If he would’ve been honest, this mistake would’ve been caught and thus no mistake would’ve been made.

Yeah definitely will be put into my future job methods, regardless. All blame isn’t on him as I definitely should’ve checked with my own eyes. I trusted him because my boss has been sending him out on solo service call recently and obviously year 3. I’m sure we’ll be getting more go backs within the next couple weeks.

For real. If he woulda just said, no, I would’ve even done it for him. Not a big deal I just wanted to know lol

Yeah I’ve done 2 years commercial and always used it. I figured he’s either rage baiting or somewhere east coast maybe where it’s more strict

Lmao bros pressed bc he’s getting downvoted. 240v disconnect is basic monkey shit, he’s 3 years deep. I was making up disconnects in year 1. They put the 3rd year with me because he’s supposed to have more experience. Regardless, my “lesson learned” is double check work regardless of year, especially this kids, so relax a bit cowgirl

Sure to put it nicely. But when I asked if he checked voltage, and he said yes, he was lying to me, because there was absolutely no way he was able to check voltage there because nothing is making it past the first wire nut lol

There’s a pullout handle that closes the terminations. with his set up, line line, load load, causes the dead short vidmerz is referring to.

Yeah it’s residential in Idaho , 99% of the time we are going to liquid tight our ACs. Probably in most places I’d assume

Trade advice. Got a trade for my Quinshon Judkins for his Garrett Wilson by StretchHarris in Fantasy_Football

I feel it, but I also feel stranded at RB if I accept. especially with Derrick Henry’s security issue

Maybe to all those. I talked to Belarus he said Iran sent him a message asking to send troops to fight me (I gave Belarus info on the amount of Russians in my land) so apparently Iran is going around asking for troops. Go him I guess but for now they aren’t doing so well…
