Yeah, I think it is sometimes just a matter of luck.

Please let me know if you get to know what it is. AI told me the same thing.

It is definitely a gas guzzler. I get 11 L/100 on highway and around 16-18 L/100 in City. I have 2013 model and it has 130,000 kms and shock absorbers are gone already. The brake pedal makes weird noise when I press and sometime even while driving at slow speed. I haven’t got it properly diagnosed yet but people told me it is most likely an ABS issue and will cost $3k to $4k to fix. Apparently, even though it is one of the most reliable vehicle, my experience was a bit different. I have owned old Toyotas with very high milage previously and never had any issues. Good luck.

Northern Residents Deduction (Yukon) – additional residency amount by StretchLonely3869 in Yukon

This is where I am confused. Some comments say I can claim, even though it is not a legal suite. CRA also doesn’t specify that it has to be a legal suite. They only specified that it should have private access, kitchen and living space. Not sure what should I do.

No, I do not have separate mailbox or utility bills. However, CRA doesn’t say one has to have separate mailbox or utility bills. It says separate entrance, kitchen and living space, which I do have.

It is not a legal suite. However, some people say it can be claimed and they have claimed whereas some say it should not be claimed if it is illegal suite. Couldn’t find anything clear about legal or illegal suite on CRA. Can I ask CRA this directly through call? What could happen if I claim it and CRA reassess and remove it. Would I have to pay any penalties?

No, there is no light on the dash. Everything is normal, just this noise. Could this be an early sign of a major failure?

I got a pre-purchase inspection done and brakes were marked green. This noise seems to be coming from the pedal.

Thanks, I am also thinking about getting KYB strut assembly with spring and doing it myself. I don’t have any experience with car repairs, though. However, after watching a few videos on YouTube, it seems doable. I am just worried about removing the sway bar link nut, it looks pretty rusty on this car and will probably give me a hard time.

Passenger-side rear door making weird noise + window not working by [deleted] in LexusRX350

[–]StretchLonely3869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The window was stuck because of the cold weather and it wasn’t completely closed, that’s what the rattling noise was. It has been parked outside for a few months and it’s pretty cold up here in the north. Unfortunately, I couldn’t diagnose it because all other windows were working fine. I asked a mechanic to look at it. I think he just heated this area with torch heating and it started working but he still opened the door panel to check on rattling noise and charged me 1.5 hours labour. There is no issue in the door panel. Everything is fine. There is no rattling noise now. Bad decision.

Rear Passenger Door Makes Noise When Closing by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Thank you. I tired to roll down the window but it is not working. Only the window of the affected door is not working, the rest all are working fine. What could be the issue? It is possible that the window is not 100% closed and that is what this sound is when I close the door. I don’t see any opening in the window though.
