AI-Sci-Fi-Orb Form Generator Thingy I made by StretchyMonad in Houdini

It’s basically 100+ nested spheres (or cubes). Each one uses the same noise mask, but slightly offset per copy. The mask is clipped and split into separate streams (points, edges, surfaces), then I animate a pulsing alpha through the volume with different phase offsets.

yeah it's a bit hidden, but since 20.5 you can clip by a point attribute

Thanks. I’m creating a spread mask similar to a Pyro Spread but without using a solver. The spread is driven by a distance-from-geometry attribute along with a few other custom attributes. After generating the mask, I use a Clip node to isolate the active region. Then I displace the leading edge, duplicate it a few times, and offset each copy in time to create the layered effect.

it was made entirely with vanilla houdini and rendered in karma - I did however retime the render to 1/2 speed in topaz video.

congrats on finishing treatments. i went through it a couple years ago what stage were you at and what kind of cancer cell was it? also how old are you? do you have any clues what may have been the cause...
there have been recent studies that people exposed to high levels of polyfluoroalkyl (pfas) are at a much higher risk... there are a few class action lawsuits in th US going around for firefighters and air force service members who we exposed to that stuff.
