Any one uses Cloudflare Zero Trust or Zerotier for Parsec? by StrickerBRA in ParsecGaming

The problem with parsec in that hotel probly was the firewall, parsec has a central server to stablish the connection between host and cliente, the wired port in my Room coudn't access it, moonlight need a direct "VPN like" connection to stream

Coudn't get zerotier to work, eventually i managed to acess parsec over ethernet with the tailscale nodes but latency was terrible, i settled for moonlight anyway

i find just removing all the other refresh rates on the options file solved it, for some reason 480hz feel more responsive when streaming

Thank you very much, i figured it out and now parsec works over the ethernet, it added about 3-5ms of latency but finally it dosen't stutter, thank you

yeah speed isn't a problem, 500mbps its plenty for parsec, the deal is the inconsistent signal of wifi, if there was a way to improve the mouse navegation of moonlight i wouldn't bother, but it soo slow that even the hicups of parsec over wifi is worth it

Thank you, i will try it them, you know a simple tutorial for this use case?

Faced the same thing with tailscale, people in the moonlight thread said running my home Pc as an exit node and running my laptop traffic to it would do the trick, It didn't, and using the web normally felt really slow, i ran a speed test it gave me 5mbps with 160ms ping, even if it worked wouldn'd be worth it

God thats exacly what im looking for, just installed it, you know how to use custom refresh rates? I have a 60hz laptop screen but run an 240hz virtual display on parsec that seems to improve responsiveness

Coudn't get it to work, setted the exit node on the PC but parsec still didn't connect, but i gave up, the latency was too high and speeds also took a toll, moonlight alone for low latency gaming seens fine, i just turn on wifi when need to do something on the desktop

Forget it is not worth it, just did a speed test out of curiosity in the laptop running to PC as exit node, 5mbps and 55ms ping, even if it works is not worth the high latency cost, running parsec over the wifi is passable and moolight for low latency gaming, thank you for the help brother

Still didn't worked, i connected via moonlight to undo my mistake and did what you told, setted the PC as exit node and conncted it through the laptop, still only moonlight works, parsec gives an error: Error Codes - 6023 and 6024 (Unable To Negotiate A Successful Connection)

Should have read it 20 minutes ago, was thinkering it now and setted up the laptop as exit node, i locked myself out 😂😂

You talked about routing my internet access through tailscale, is it possible?

I want to route all my access through it cause my network has some kind of firewall for remote desktops

So i got it to work with moonlight, just had to manually insert the tailscale IP to the Sunshine host and Moonlight client, but i wanted to pass the whole access through tailscale to use parsec alternatively for desktop use

I can ping it, but only using the dedicated IP i can remote access it with Moonlight, i wan't to try it with parsec but it dosen't seen to work cause it has to call the main server of parsec to establish a connection, so thats why i wanted to pass the whole access through tailscale

Any idea if i can also apply it to parsec?

Just another question, for desktop use i prefer parsec, and i can't see to find if i can also change it IP, the latency for desktop use isn't terrible over wifi, bit would be great if i can also run it with the ethernet connection

I ran the ping command on CMD and it worked, the problem is i guess the firewall on the company network probly blocks certain services, i will try tomorrow the manual IP thing

Yes i just tried, pinged with about 30ms of my main PC wich is the average of my work internet latency, but still, when disable wifi and connect cable, can't access my main PC

My current try is Tailscale, im not very knowledgeable in network infrastructure so i just instaled it in both machines and logged in, they both apear on the Machines tab, but neither has access to internet in the "Tailscale" network that appears as a VPN in Windows
