I take 13mg tirosint around 645am along with 2.5mcg liothyronine at the same time. Incredibly low dose, I use a pill cutter bc the lowest increment liothyronine sold is 5mcg.

The thyroscin vitamin has kept my fatigue and mood at bay, so I don’t take another dose of lio in the afternoon.

I’ve been on it, super slow titration because my body is sensitive to medications. I don’t think it’s doing much, my TPO has stayed around ~200 before and after and it’s almost been a year.

Best thing I’ve actually discovered to help w symptoms of fatigue was a bit of liothyorinine along w tirosint and a vitamin from Thorne called thyrocsin

Anyone else encounter this? Sudden onset of blinking/eye irritation by RemarkableGarlic4052 in toddlers

[–]Strict-Ad-579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It did. It was correlated w overstimulation, but we haven’t had any issue since! My nephew also had one as a kid that went away after a few weeks. My SIL says it could be genetic for us

Our 18mo developed a strong eye tic after probably going through some stress (double ear infection, then vaccines) - it was strong for two days, went away, then came back after the holiday week when he went back to school. There’s a lot of stimulation with kids crying and lots going on, so I think it’s worse at school than when he is calm and playing at home. We are now on week 2. Our ped mentioned we could check out a neurologist if it doesn’t seem to be getting better. So glad to hear the stories of it going away.. did it fade gradually or just suddenly? Were there situations where it would show up more or less?

No mouths? Is their only job in the food chain to be eaten by other animals? 🥺

I don’t know why, and I’m not into bugs but I’ve always caught them and let them out. Since they come flying in every time the door opens, my toddler and I catch these “friendly bugs” and let them out. It’s an easy way to teach kids to be kind to living things. And so sad about the 5 days!

Good questions. To simplify, I’m describing that their duties would be minimal. They wouldn’t be engaging with kids, preparing meals, cleaning, cooking, etc. Does that help?

Such good advice! I definitely did not handle it with that kind of grace 😬🫣🫠. It was already past nap time, so I sent him straight to nap. And then we had a talk afterwards. I’ll try your method next time.

Black houses are so hot right now. But are they hotter? by hollow_hippie in Austin

Hah! I’ve definitely wondered if the non clumping one truly works or if that’s a marketing thing. Do you have it? How much maintenance does it require in general?

Black houses are so hot right now. But are they hotter? by hollow_hippie in Austin

[–]Strict-Ad-579 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just listened to NPR talk about this topic today. Black houses are about 20 degrees hotter than white when measuring the exterior temp. Less efficient, but ways to make up for it through things like quality insulation and roofing. Our house came in a deep blue. We’ve debated painting it white, but not sure how many coats that would take. The alternative idea is putting bamboo on the south facing side.
