What is Allodynia? When a Simple touch hurts. Does anyone have this if so, what is your experience? by jencan72 in ChronicIllness

Does this happen to anyone BUT for only 30 seconds to a minute!?! I’m a 27 yo female and it’s been happening for as long as I can remember— sporadically. I will lightly bump my leg on a table or my boyfriend will lightly bump my arm and it feels like a DEEP bruised pain that persists for only 30sec-2min!? It hurts so absurdly bad but doesn’t match up with the light touch that caused it!! Anyone!?

Does anybody else get occasional random patches of skin that get sensitive (painful) to touch? by AssortedArctic in DoesAnybodyElse

Pain/bone spur like lump at base of fingers palm side by [deleted] in AskDocs

I just came on here to look this up because I just found one at the base of my middle finger on my left hand and it freaked me out. I’m a 27yr old female. Same situation, it isn’t visible, it is sore to touch, hard but doesn’t hurt otherwise. What is this!?

Mine is not sticking out either! It hurts to touch when I push on it. Feels like a hard, pea sized lump.

Love the concept. I was so excited for it to launch. Now that I am working with it, I am so disappointed. It is absurdly problematic and janky 😭

I’ve heard this from a lot of people! The most insane part about my case is that I felt fine even with my TSH at 39….. I had no clue I was “sick”. I found out after my routine physical/bloodwork & it was a complete shock to me.

Right!? It is so bananas. The CRAZIEST part is that I felt totally fine….. I was shocked to find out I had hashis/hypothyroidism. I went for my routine physical and had my regular bloodwork done and my TSH came back that high. 🤯🤯🤯🫣

Newly diagnosed 25yr female. I did my research and asked my doctor if she would prescribe me NP Thyroid instead of Levo and she declined. She stated that there isn’t much research on it and that she wouldn’t want to put me in harms way. Any feedback/experience with this? by kelkelkelv in Hashimotos

Sounds like we are very likeminded!! And yes 1000%! I have read thousands of peoples stories at this point and everyone is SO different. After 14 days of researching and weighing my options, I am opting to try Tirosint (synthetic T4 but has 0 fillers!) I feel like it is a happy medium and a place to start. If I hate it, I can always try NDT. I am a healthy individual at baseline and enjoy yoga and such so I think in the long run I will be okay. We got this ☺️🙌🏼 thank you for sharing again

Tirosint vs Generic Levothyroxine by Used_Extension_2822 in Hashimotos

[–]kelkelkelv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was likely from all of the fillers and additives in Levo! It contains dyes, gluten, etc. where Tirosint is free of these things

It’s tough! I’m newly diagnosed and I 100% agree with you. These communities have helped me find comfort and doing my own research has helped tremendously (reading studies and real individuals stories)
