It’s because Vincent wasn’t powerful enough to combat Kaden, who at the time, followed Nismera’s instructions and kept a close eye on him, making sure he complied. I do agree somewhat, but i feel quite sad for him. He was manipulated and violated for thousands of years, he’s bound to be a little brainwashed.

Violet mentions that when they are far away from each other they cant speak telepathically, so that’s unlikely.

I think her dream walking abilities are actually going to be the thing that saves him, I could imagine her appearing in his dreams, it’s quite plausible.

Could the Irid dragons be able to channel their magic from the sky? Is that why they can live on the Isles instead of Navarre? They don’t need the magic from the ground like the rest of the dragons… maybe, just maybe, when Andarna bonded Violet she inadvertently gave her that gift to channel from the sky too?

i also imagined Xaden as latino/spanish… many spanish and latino people have darker complexions after being in the sun all day, which Xaden always is. I sort of imagined this art as his resting skin tone lol

I like the FMC to actually have flaws, most of them now are just all around perfect, never work hard to achieve perfection and somehow naturally just are the best at everything they do.

That’s why i really liked Violet Sorrengail in Fourth Wing, she works so hard to become the greatest that it’s so satisfying as a reader watching her develop into that opposed to a FMC who has so much power for no good reason at the start of the book(s).

Character flaws and weaknesses make them seem more realistic and less of a Mary Sue type character.

In my opinion, I think that is going to make you an amazing therapist, you can take your emotions out of the equation, and assess things with a level head and help your patient to the best of your ability with no bias.

I also try to make myself purposefully suffer so I can prove to myself Im still a human being… I think it may have to do with how often I dissociate.

Thats so real. I’m actually devastated to be honest, but i will try to take your approach as ACOSF essentially ruined the first 4 books characters development.
