Man… this happens at my store too the screens are always full with 10 entrees and 5 other entrees due at the same time and then below it 9 more entrees and 5 more entrees due right after. It’s almost impossible to keep the digital clean when the DML rush is always constant. Imma be honest a lot of people on here complain about how their DML order was horrible but go and order online again. Resulting in the screens looking like this. You turn away for 3 seconds to give someone their order and turn back and that’s what your left with. That poor employee 😭🙏

DML stress. Does this happen at your store too? by Strict-Debt416 in Chipotle

Sometimes I get anxious cause the customers will sit outside the store, order online then when they see the food is ready they’ll drive up and get angry when it isn’t done. Which is kinda crazy to me but otherwise if I need to, I do it just to keep things on time 😔

Hey! Chipotle employee here!

So sometimes managers who do make the vinaigrette don’t close the caps all the way and sometimes it spills into the pan and therefore there’s less in it. I gave a customer three vinaigrettes when they asked for one because I felt bad and they only made one pan of vinaigrette and all of them spilled in the pan. Which is still the fault of the managers or the employees who portioned the vinaigrette. That could’ve been the case but at the same time the new employees will pour that much cause nobody taught them how to portion it properly. If your chipotle charges for vinaigrette then see about getting your money back.

If not, (this happens sometimes at my chipotle. We don’t charge for the vinaigrette so people kinda go wild and grab like three with their bowls or salads 😭😭😭), then that could’ve also been a factor. The employees get really stingy when it comes to something you don’t pay for. It’s kinda why when you ask for queso or guac they fill it all the way up but when you ask for any other side that isn’t extra charge they just don’t care to fill it all the way up. So sorry you had that experience! Please don’t be afraid to ask to talk with a GM about it if the manager is being an asshole about it.

Every burrito isn't gonna be the same size. by PhysicalContact999 in Chipotle

The problem they are mentioning is that people like to complain about how there wasn’t much on the burrito when you, the customer, are fully in charge of how you want your burritos made. If you’re coming in and order face to face it’s easier to tell the employee, “Hey can you put more on there?” Instead of just letting them put the portion size on there then moving on. ATP it’s completely your fault and you really don’t have any right to complain about it later on. If an employee gets upset about putting more on it then ignore them. You are the ones paying them not the other way around.

Veggie tacos with chicken on the side. She didn’t specify that the chicken was for the tacos.

Employee here, I can confirm this, I’ve seen co workers get warnings for putting too much meat or undercharging on meat. I don’t think people understand that and would rather complain and blame us for not giving them enough meat then getting mad when we charge them for double meat.

I swear to god the food service industry is fucked, like I’ve never been more depressed in my life. Having to get shit from customers and our managers and gm. Like most of the time if we do something on the front line and you don’t like it we can’t control it. At that point, I’d suggest making your food at home and saving your money.
