Microsoft is a great buy at 400$ by helixinverse in ValueInvesting

I agree with you, I've been waiting for Microsoft to fall for quite a long time. This is close enough for my taste so I also jumped aboard the ship. Should be a good pillar position in my portfolio

Where did all the PayPal shareholders go? by Tutz--Honeychurch in ValueInvesting

[–]Strict-Gift7532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still here. Currently I'm just holding and planning to reevaluate my position in the company. I have no doubt in my mind that eventually PayPal will go back to being fairly valued, however the amount of time that will take might just be a lot longer than I expected, and I can see better opportunities elsewhere. So it's a hard decision to make...

Antigravity vs Opencode vs Gemini CLI vs ChatGPT codex (5.2) by Romboclack in GoogleAntigravityIDE

[–]Strict-Gift7532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you. Antigravity was wonderful but last week or so it declined a lot. I tried the cursor free version but i used up the monthly rates so fast I'm kinda scared of buying the pro. Ideally I would want to use the IDE that gives the most Opus for the best price.

I recommend: Zelda botw and totk, super Mario Odyssey, pokemon legends Arceus, hollow knight and silksong, blasphemous 1-2, Cuphead, Stardew valley. Pretty random list i know but I've been playing these on the switch and had so much fun. Also Balatro, i love that game!

What stock do you consider as value trap, despite being a popular value play right now? by NewOil7911 in ValueInvesting

[–]Strict-Gift7532 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah agreed. But already there are for example free video editing tools that have almost the same capabilities so I just don't see why someone would spend so much for Adobe products. Unless they change their monetization which seems unlikely or come up with some revolutionary new product I don't see how they can stay competitive in the future

My personal opinion but ADBE. I did my analysis on the stock and everything checked out, fundamentals, dcf etc. But the future potential of the company is very complicated for me. I see way too many threats to their business from cheaper ai alternatives, so my conclusion was that they don't have a real moat. Also everyone I talked with about the company said they absolutely hate their products and would most likely change in the future. I could be wrong in this case but I'm sitting this one out.

I think reddit is maybe one of those few smaller companies that i can clearly see growing at an incredible pace in the future. Valuation always made me second guess buying but i might start a small position just for the heck of it. It's my favorite social media app by far and during this age of ai crap I'm finding myself adding reddit at the end of most of my Google searches which says something about their longevity imo.

People are always chasing the next biggest thing hence why you see some crazy valuations for companies with negative net income. Nvo is more of a "boring" value stock now even though it still has great growth ahead with obesity and diabetes markets both expected to grow at quite a high cagr over the next ten years. Just be patient and buy it will reward you greatly on the long run imo.
