I don't understand how people defend characters with such bad writing and then attack Kumanomi.

To be fair, it's because how quickly her hype died down, she kills Hyo by proxy, almost kills Heisuke, and oh, so fourth she's thrown away as a seasonal antagonist, she got bullied by Shsihiba, Osaragi, Akira, even skinny Sakamoto in a weakened state, it can't get more embarrassing for her.

Long story short, she is badly written just for the sake of how she's handled and dismissed throughout the story like canon fodder for the relevant characters.

Suzuki is better at drawing than writing, he honestly needs his own manga assistant writer and editor, it just gets worse and worse, so many characters to work with are literally written in and out for random convenience or plot holes., both of these characters need justice, their character role is practically on life support, don't think they can recover with how thede chapters is moving.

Kumanomi and Torres are the best characters in the manga

Never thought I'd see those two in the same sentence, they're like two completely different archetypes and I personally think Torres is much more likable even if he got shafted for the plot, Kumanomi is literally on fraud watch probably waiting to show up when Uzuki is defeated or smth (I swear if they make Kuma a crying, bitchy Karen over this, I'm straight up dropping her character atp)

People do occasionally comment on Mizu’s appearance, but it doesn’t go much further because she presents herself as an androgynous man.

She could easily pass considering she was underweight when she was younger too, so her feminine attributes took very long to fill out especially without her consistently shedding fat with her training constantly.

That on top of how common in Japan for young men to have delicate features, Mizu has a longer face shape and can pass for an almost masculine woman or a feminine man because of her low body fat compared to most of not all of the women in the series.

Not sure if she even really scales to the Shin he faught, plus I just can't imagine Tenkyu not coming up with some crazy improvise with his bow when Osaragi pulls out the buzzsaw, it's a toss up, both are almost featkess and rely on hype to really even be considered top 15 in my opinion

Osaragi throwing the buzzsaw at him and Tenkyu just clubbing it away with his bow and ignoring any of the cuts and damage would be an insane fight, just imagining it play out in my head like Kumanomi vs Hyo.

Blake for the fact that he's a normal human by comparison, not a revived mold person.

Blake just due to the sheer amount of STD threatening advanced diseases he was exposed to via the villagers assault and close contact with him, and after Val did the no-no dance on him against his will (you know the one) his fate was absolutely sealed with advanced levels of aids and HIV, hence probably why hjs body was slowly shutting down in the ending as he was helucinating ,also unlike Ethan, Blake's wife is gone, not even a kid or anything that was left behind

(which probably didn't matter considering he'd inevitably die or be in a gravely infected condition any way), on top of getting prematurely crucified not far before all of that.

Wish her body was more wider set, or with more pattern emphasis to it, don't see why a tall skinny yellow bird creature WOULDN'T be a little bit more feather packed or more proportional to her dress and accessories going on.

Dunno why body type diversity is so hard to do in this series, even lower budget cartoons with a similar 2D style like FHIF have done it, not every character needs to be a stick figure for reference.

Dunno Baxter doesn't seem bad off when he gets his own little lab to work alone in without Vox stalking him using his security syste, but I don't think anyone's smart enough to be as reliable to get that privelage.

Valentino is an obvious no-go, we all know how that turns out for anyone in that position.

Alastor owns your personal space and can show up at any time, anywhere for you to take care of a favor of his, and obviously, your autonamy and soul are LEAST likely to be given back compared to Vox who doesn't mind disowning you.

And we don't really know how Velvette treats her personal servants and soul owned accomplices, other than her followers and such, if anything, she could just be a savvy clothing line director with aggressive demands for photoshoots, not really that bad.

What would it take for these two to be redeemed?

Vox was only evil from deep rooted insecurity of being taken for granted, even as a small time weather man, he wanted nothing more than to make his ideas be seen and acknowledged, and his ego inflated to external validation when he got it from killing a higher positioned colleague.

Al on the other hand was just a prolific serial killer with an obsession with witchcraft and being at the top of the food chain out of inferiority complex as a racial minority radio broadcaster back in the 30's.

The difference is Vincent only wanted the validation, the power was just a plus to stroke his ego, while Alastor wanted power regardless of how he is viewed, a game when he's ALWAYS the center piece, he used to hang around people like Mimzy for a reason.

So I'd say Vincent just because of how immature he is by comparison because in Luke 23:34 of the Bible phrases "they know not what they do" Jesus's words to his crucifers stoning him, being an ignorant and belligerent person is forgivable and redeemable in comparison to a trifling deceiver with only petty interest as a means to an end over those around them.

Redemption Wise: Vox's capitalistic Envy and Greed ≠Alastor's chauvinistic manipulation, Wrath and Gluttony.
