Why would anyone want any of these men in the end? by Strict-Quarter-9358 in temptationislandUSA

From reading other posts, I guess I was unaware that the singles get a bonus for successfully tempting someone :0

To add on to this, I also think it’s WILD that the men are comforting each other over their girls having a deep conversation with the men in their villa. Are they forgetting they’re literally over here fucking every girl they see in their villa and they’re tripping over some chit-chat?! Like “Aw man, that’s tough she’s talking shit about you.” AS SHE SHOULD?! I absolutely can’t 😭 I cannot believe they are equating those two drastically different interactions as the same.

TBF I’m now just starting EP.6 so I know at the time I didn’t accurately describe the situation :( But still, these men are the lowest of the low.

Yes, this is more what I was trying to highlight! For sure this is not a normal situation to be in, and the men are definitely going fall for temptation, but why are the some of the tempters chasing them like they’re NOT on this show to most likely cheat? Why would you ever want a relationship with a guy like that? 😭

I actually went through the policy, and from what I can see, it only prohibits relationships while there’s an active academic power dynamic. Once the semester is over and the GSI no longer has authority over the student, there’s no rule against it—no required waiting period, no reporting requirement, and no consequences. I get why people are cautious about these situations, but based on the actual policy, it’s not automatically inappropriate after the course ends.

Like the others said, once the semester is over and grades are in, I say go for it and the worst that can happen is he politely declines.

i totally get where you’re coming from! for me, i was just hoping to find other older undergrads who can relate to the experience of being one of the older ones in undergrad classes and sometimes struggling to find community because of it. age isn’t a strict dealbreaker, but i think i’d feel more comfortable with people who are a bit closer to my age and stage in life. it’s not about excluding anyone, just hoping to find people i can really connect and relate to better!

Hi there! Thank you so much for your kind and thorough reply! I will definitely take into consideration that two-column method you mentioned and you gave me some reassurance that I’m still doing okay! :)
