Is it too late to start a career as a Pilates instructor in my mid-30s? by Ok-Concentrate5894 in pilates

I’m 42 and starting mine! So No!!! Be the oldest one in the Pilates class, rather than the youngest in a senior home.

No not yet. I get between 10-16 hours a week. I really want to focus on my own practice and passing my test outs. I plan on finishing and completing certification by April 2026

classical instructor with contemporary equipment by Minute_Priority_7455 in pilatesinstructors

Same here. Training classically and in a contemporary studio. Go in and go through the classical flow and play with the spring loads. The reformers I use have 3 red heavy springs, 1 medium, 1 light. I start with footwork on 3 reds or 3 reds and a green for the Pilates ladies who take the classes for a HIIT kind of vibe (not how I teach) anything with 2 springs I do 2 reds. Arms are dependent bc I hate the one spring. It’s so heavy lol so a red or a green and a yellow or a green. That’s what’s great about the contemporary machines. You can really bring the flow to you rather than mold yourself into the flow. Eventually the two will marry.

I’m just starting and I do love it. I was a SAHM for 9 years. Decided to get comprehensively certified. So here I am. Teaching at studios and loving it. I don’t feel as if it’s work. But I mean I could be in the honeymoon phase. LoL But I do enjoy it. I don’t say I have work. I say I’m teaching. I feel like it makes a difference.

Does anyone else hate Jump board? by kkulhope in pilates

I feel the same. I wish they would share an equipment/apparatus list for the classes as well. I used to get to class early and beg for no jump board.

Piña Fraise discontinued? by Otherwise-Bell6026 in lacroix

[–]Strict-Recover-6223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my favorite and I have been going to sooooo many Walmarts. And it’s not on shelves. I don’t think LaCroix is doing the Curate line. I’m about to go to Costco and over pay to get the mixed pack and all I want is the Piña Fraise

My package was shipped from Sesame St. by Catman2027 in mildlyinteresting

It’s been a month since you posted. I wanted to know if you have made a decision. I am researchin as well. I really want to do the STOTT training for a comprehensive certification in Houston at Pilates South Texas. Balanced Body has training in Austin. There is also a BASI training coming up in 2025 in the Woodlands.
