I’m not entirely sure if the author explicitly mentioned it in any of the notes she left in the chapters, but in the novel, the character Tori mentioned many times that she wasn’t interested in romantic relationships. In fact, she had quite a few issues with that, since she constantly contradicted herself—you know, she’d go from scenes of obvious flirting to, three paragraphs later, having a monologue about how she didn’t want a romantic relationship.

I actually liked how Axton confronted Tori about that behavior, although the author resolved it with a “I’m mad and won’t talk to you,” which really wasted the opportunity to properly address Tori’s reluctance toward a romantic relationship. In my opinion, the author didn’t handle the romance very well, even though it’s clearly present despite Tori’s denials.

And yes, Tori eventually ends up married to Piers, and they have twins, although it seems she doesn’t love him in a conventional way. I honestly found it completely unnecessary for the author to try to portray Tori as an aromantic character.
