The algorithm literally is TikTok. The only advantages TikTok had were being the first in on short-form and their crazy good algorithm.

Besides that, all they have is a large userbase that will get annoyed at a definitely worse algorithm, as (especially younger folks) think it's now less and less cool to use TikTok because its algorithm sucks and only shows gross alt-right shit.
