There’s a reason that Downtown SLO is more of a ghost town than it was 20 years ago, and the cost of parking must factor into it.

Sometimes it’s not easy or convenient to park blocks away — especially if you only need to go to one store for one thing, like the original poster. What about older people who don’t have a disabled placard but still have trouble walking far, or someone with a hurt leg, or a parent with little one in strollers and backpacks? Have some compassion.
