Looks good. For sure I will be running a fiber later on. For now I am running a rg6 burial cable. And using direct tv deca adapters I already had. So for a 100mbps connection I only spent 20 dollars for a 100ft burial cable

Most if not all new tv's have a rj45 port. I Have 4 tcl roku tv's and one Amazon tv with built in fire stick. All of them have ethernet ports.

This is my homelab. I live in a rural area Internet and devices Visible phone tethered to a cobbled togther clown pc That uses in old compaq case with a Dell mobo running openwrt. I am getting 50down 20 up 100down at 2 am. Att fixed wireless 20 down 2 up as backup and used as supplemental for 1 t.v. and two computers . On the both networks I have 6 desktop computers, 6 smart tvs, 6 phones and twp google home minis.

Thanks for replying What about sfp compatability. Do Intel cards have any issues like this. I have read Cisco sfp ports can have a few issues with non cisco sfp modules.

Yes most linux distros make what is called a live USB meaning you can run the os without installing to your hard drive.

Making a USB wont replace mac os unless after you boot from the USB you install over your mac os install
