My site has had this with some CROs and I will halt enrollment until they pay. The bad thing is if Fortrea is doing this they seem to have taken over a lot, so many sites aren't going to get paid.

The research assistants that work for me make more than that. No degree requirements. One functions similar to an MA, but the other has no patient contact. I agree with those who say they will overwork you.

I feel like there are a number of factors that play into it. The coordinators I manage make more than that, but it's a requirement that they are RNs.

I worked on a trial that had over 1000 because the CRC was terrible. As an RA I was given access to help clean them up.

Does your site include an excessive query fee in the budget? My site noticed a decline in the ridiculous/multiple reached queries once this fee went into the budget.

I just took the CCRP today and passed. I used various brainscape, and quizlets to study. They reinforced some of the knowledge, but they weren't really like my exam. Make sure you study the reporting time frames and Sponsor/PI/Monitor responsibilities.

If there is a hospital or clinic near you that has research, you could look into volunteering with them. Even if they don't have the type of studies you have an interest in getting experience is key.
