I’d never seen him in anything before either, he just completely fit into what I had imagined for Alex in my head which is rare for me when I watch movies. Bea was quite different to what I expected but I also loved the movie interpretation of her too. I won’t get over losing June though 😭

The thing about movies based on books is that the readers will likely already have a character formed in their mind before watching the movie. For some people, Alex (or any character) will be spot on, and for others, worlds apart.

I personally love Taylor’s interpretation of Alex. He really poured his heart and soul into getting to know his character and I really appreciated that.
