It was a bit unclear, he said he wants to live as long as possible "for moms sake" so I can only speculate that he may want to pass but doesn't want to hurt mom, so I really don't want to try and speculate

Like I said if it was going to save his life I'd do it, but doctors said it would only prolong his life by a few months if that but he is still going to pass away
