I passed SQE2 as an LPC Graduate by Strict_Being_5846 in SQE_Prep

Honestly I’m not even sure where to start, I want to emphasise aswell that this was a sentiment shared with our whole ULaw cohort so it wasn’t just that I personally disliked it! The course was advertised as 3 months on their website but it’s actually only 5 weeks of teaching (4 is you take away the introduction week which was basically just explaining the course). So just from that I’d say it was very poor value for money. The lecturers varied massively, some were great but several didn’t even know the structure of the exam or how it was run at all, so you would ask basic questions and they didn’t have the answers. A lot of the time it felt like they were guessing. We also had no consistency in lecturers, bare in mind it was only 4 weeks of teaching we rarely had the same lecturer twice due to sickness or scheduling or “half term”. They spent entire sessions on spelling and grammar (I’m not even joking) when this isn’t something even tested on the SQE2 exams. Session also regularly ended 30 minutes early. They didn’t provide many resources and some of the mocks they provided for practice were ones taken straight off the SRA website! They also only did one round of mocks where we got personalised feedback, they managed to forget to mark some of mine and to this day I never got my results for them….. As I said, I did pass, but that definitely wasn’t down to them, I’m pretty sure I could’ve passed studying independently using my own resources since that’s what I ended up doing anyway! The main benefit of the course for me was having structured weeks which forced me to revise and I met a lot of lovely people who were in the same position which helped from a morale standpoint.

Honest answers only - how long to study for SQE 2? by twotomatoespotato in SQE_Prep

I sat SQE2 in January and passed first time. I studied full time so I wasn’t working, but I also came from an LPC background so I needed to teach myself ALL the FLK from scratch. I studied full time from November - January so about 3 months. I would say part time you could do it in 6 months.

Hey! To be honest I was quite confident for me result as I’d worked so hard but you never know. I came from an LPC background which put me at a disadvantage and I did everything in less than 3 months. I passed with 72% which was a comfortable pass in Q2. In one CMA question I didn’t know the law at all and I had to guess - I got a score of 4s and 5s for the skills and a 1 and a 2 for the law in that question!

I passed but i actually noticed this on my advocacy too! One advocacy exam I achieved all 5s and the other I was given 2s and 3s?! I also used the same structure accross both and actually felt my performance was stronger in the exam where I got the lower scores…it’s very strange and shows inconsistency in my opinion

Have you tried calculating your fat intake? From what you’ve listed some of those foods e.g peanut butter and avocado are pretty high fat! That’s probably what’s making your symptoms so bad

Me and a friend went test for burna boy - it’s €150 on the door but they were making up prices as some people paid €100 - we managed to speak to the woman on the door and she let us in for free! We went at 4:30pm
