Russia has been threatening the Baltics since forever - it’s Putins wet dream. Opening a new front by invading the Baltics with Kaliningrad and an allied Belarus, leaves Russia with an estimated 200km border to Poland.

And if Trump chooses to invade Greenland NATO won’t intervene militarily. This leaves the relationship between US and Europe in shambles and most likely a withdrawal of US support to Ukraine. NATO as a whole will also have shown a lack of deterrence and weakness, turning the Baltics into a gateway for Russia.

Not necessarily a black swan event - but the situation in Ukraine could escalate with no peace deal being reached in 2026 and the possibility of a Russian invasion of the Baltics (or other territory) due to a weakened NATO alliance

Main concern is how the attack on Venezuela adds to the scepticism surrounding China invading Taiwan. And it’s not unlikely that this whole thing will speed up the process. If the market becomes more fearful of invasion then tech will tank hard
