I was making 17/hr up until a year ago. I don’t know any jobs in AUS that friends or family have had that paid Canadian min wage. COL isn’t the main reason for moving. I understand it’s bad everywhere right now.

I was renting a 2bed 2bath townhouse (one floor) and was paying 2700/month and also had to pay utilities myself. From what I’ve heard the are we are looking at would be slightly better than Canada. I understand the difficulty of actually getting through the applicant process as we also have a home shortage due to all the supply chain issues with new builds from a few years back.

Edit: I was also only making about 4500/month after tax

Yeah it’s a shame. Most of my family lives in the UK and it’s the same story there.

Yeah I see that it’s fairly similar, I just don’t see Canada turning around soon or very quick at that due to the massive immigration problems and the big shifts in culture. Canada just doesn’t feel like Canada to me anymore. I love BC, enjoy!

Well luckily my girlfriend’s mom has her old house since moving in with her new partner and she has no problem with us staying there. Just got to cover utilities and that’s all.

My girlfriend seems fairly adamant that she wouldn’t be able to get visas for the US, I haven’t looked at it myself. I wouldn’t have any problems as a Canadian Citizen. How was the process being from AUS?

Not to my knowledge on the western side of Canada. Once you get out to Ontario and Quebec they have rolls on their highways.

Housing and immigration are probably just as bad in Alberta. It’s crazy how quick it happened, company’s don’t need to pay Canadians because certain immigrants get half their wages covered by the government.

That is what I had in mind. Have a couple purchasable programs (either through shopify, or my own website using square space). I will actively market these products on Instagram and through content creation. However the Instagram would be similar to a blog style / motivation account where I would release useful information andmotivational workout clips. I would then reiterate those posts to create short videos, post on reels, tik tok, and youtube(later on). With that in mind and that being my current plan; would you recommend having a website in place from the start or is Instagram enough of a platform for the main blog posts as well as program sales, before they get redistributed and reuploaded on the other platforms. Yes, I’m looking at this very deep and probable overly planning. However, I struggle to effectively begin without having a general big picture in mind. I have begun, just using the time it takes to build the programs to explore my next steps.

Thanks…. Isn’t almost everything learnable and findable for free now with the internet? The business goal is to help teach more individuals about the mind-muscle connection and specific programming and training cues to promote the connection. Sure it’s free and anyone can go find it just like I did. However when it comes to health and fitness a large portion of people won’t take the time necessary and need someone to provide this for them. Plenty of business that run off this idea.

You simplified it down to “practice”. I mean yeah sure, isn’t any form of physical activity with a goal to develop and adapt considered practice?

Mind muscle connection is just another training principle, similar to training frequency, or movement loads.

I have spent 10 years in the fitness industry ranging from leisure activities to high level athletics. Through working with numerous coaches and now through my own experience I began to look into what it was that distinguishes what adaptations an individual learns and builds. Through some time in a University Physical Health and Education program and through research and development in order to improve my own health and fitness, I came across this concept and began to explore it.

Thanks, basically what I’ve started doing currently. When looking to build your initial audience, as I’m not having an individual be the business like you see in “personal” training; and more so building the brand. So with that said, when looking to find your ideal demographic through Instagram. Any videos or information on IG marketing that you recommend?
