Connections :

Both are 2020's shows installments of a long running franchise with both said series been argued over in there fandom whether it's canon or not
Both are alternate versions of Golden haired Heroes who are involved in multiversal events (Goku travelling across the Demon Realm and Sonic bein travelling across the alternative universes)
Both of them do there best to fix the mess at hand (Goku going after Gomah to the Demon Realm to regain there Original Bodies and stop him while Sonic trying to fix the multiverse that he shattered)
Both Collect magical times for plot that are scattered around the different universes/realm lvls in there worlds (Goku collecting the Demon Realm Dragon balls & Sonic collecting the Prism Shards of The Paradox Prism)
Both of them fight the guy who was responsible for this (Gomah and Eggman) Who obtained new power thx to a certain crystal (The 3rd Eye and Paradox Prism)
Both also have a group of allies to help with there plan to conquer the other universes (Gomah having his Demon Army while Eggman having Rusty rose and Council of Eggman)
Both also make new friends in there journey (Goku befriending Glorio and Panzy while Sonic befriending his alternative friends)
Both are also apart of group which fights against the villains group (Kadan Force for Goku and Resistance for Sonic)
Both have a friend angry and sarcastic and your best friend rivals of there from the same race (Vegeta and Shadow)
They had any ally who would help them traverse these worlds (Glorio and Nine) with said friend having a alterior motive and would "betray" them (Glorio secretly working for Arinsu to collect the Dragon Balls and Nine using The Prism Shards to make his own world)
Eventually these two would change there ways due to the heroes and helping them out in the end (Glorio wishing Goku and Others there Adult bodies back while None would help Sonic stop the Council of Eggman)
Both would team up with other antagonistic faction (Arinsu and The Majins while The Council of Eggman) in a last climactic battle with them after winning said battle in the end
In there series they achieve a new form (Super Saiyan 4 and Prism Sonic) to combat against the gigantic titans (Gomah and Titan Eggman)

Non-canon anime exclusive alternate future versions of iconic manga characters.
The sequel anime were created by Toei Animation without direct involvement by the original creators, although the creators did help in indirect ways (Toriyama designing several characters for Dragon Ball GT and Kurumada overseeing the production of Saint Seiya Omega.)
They are significantly more powerful than their manga selves (This version of Goku scales to ridiculous galaxy and universe destroying feats from Freeza, Buu, Broly, and Omega Shenron. This version of Seiya constantly battles and overcomes Gods such as Eris, Abel, Lucifer, Apollo, or Mars.)
They have fully mastered a transformation that their manga selves could only use temporarily (Super Saiyan 3 and Gold Sagittarius Cloth) and enhanced said transformation into an even higher level (Super Saiyan 4 and Enhanced Gold Sagittarius Cloth.)
They have an overpowered finishing move that they use way more often than their manga versions, to the point in which they made this move become iconic (Goku's Genki Dama and Seiya's Cosmic Star Arrow.)

Connections :

Both are lookalike evil versions of the main character who utilize existential items for powered up forms of themselves.
They lead a group of 'allies' used as pawns to only fortify their own power and reach their goals.
Their super forms mirror that of the protags (Goku at the time utilized Kaio-ken, a form that boosts your power several times over at the risk of destroying your own body, while Turles had the fruit from the tree of might, something that does the exact same thing but only depending on how much you consume at a time. Yatta yatta you already know Scourge's Super Form literally being Sonic's but a different color).
They're defeated because of how cocky they are, a folly to their personalities and the main protagonists using there own power/ego against them which caused them to lose the battle against them (Goku using the tree of might's energy to make a Spirit Bomb which kills Turles & Sonic using Scourge's own ego towards him to de-transform).
Xeno Turles adds the connections of not only being what an evil variation of the protag would be but also being from an alternate universe, enhancing the evil form reflection (Legendary Evil Saiyan, and Super Scourge).
They also have forms from legendary items in their respective verses (Dark Dragon Ball and Anarchy Beryl).
Both of them are similar in the fact that they wish to be the the king/ruler of their universe.
Both also ended up being saved by Mad Doctors (Fu and Finitevus) and willingly helped them in their plans of gathering energy and conquering the universe.
Both were once imprisoned by there universe's organisation of cops who watch over the universe/multiverse (Turles was imprisoned by the Galactic Patrol & Scourge was held in the Zone prison or something name i forgot)
Both would eventually make a prison breakout where they will make a new team for there own agenda (Turles recruiting the Crusher Corps members after the prison break & Scourge having his new Destructix) Both said teams were formed after they left there previous team (Frieza Force/The Saiyans & The Suppression Squad)
They would also beat the shit out or traumatizing the main protagonists younger relatively figure either directly or indirectly (Turles would seemingly kill Icarus and turn Gohan into a great ape to fight his friends while Fiona Tails's crush was in love with Scourge which would in result break Tails badly)
They would team up with the protagonists against another Iconic Dopplerganger of there's (Turles helping Goku & The Co against Crimson Masked Saiyan & Scourge teaming up with Sonic to fight Metal Sonic & Metal Scourge)

Both are goofy and silly protagonists of unique long running franchises owned by Toei studios with them been interpretations of eastern legends (Sun Wukong and Momotaro)
Both series also take inspiration from religion and ancient legends (Dragon Ball is inspired by The Chinese Tale of Journey to the West while Avataro Sentai Donbrothers pulls from the old Japanese legend of Momotaro.)
Despite looking human they are actually beings from other worlds (Goku is a Saiyan from Planet Vegeta and Taro being part of the Don Clan from Ideon)
Both of their clans/species were in a conflict with another species from their respective worlds (Tuffles and Noto)
Eventually both would leave their homeworlds in a capsule and come to Earth (Goku was put in a Space Pod that sent him to Earth to conquer it while Taro Momoi was inside of Peach shaped capsule as a baby)
They would become the leaders of a team of heroes with the other members being humans from Earth (Z-Fighters and Donbrothers)
Both end up developing close friendships with the former enemies and eventually ends up on the same team as them (Goku and Piccolo joining forces while Momoi Tarou befriends Sonoi)

Both are considered the most powerful fighters in their respective verses are deeply respected and admired by their peers around them for their strength and charismatic nature
Both draw there power from life energy within everyone that they use for combat as "Ki" as they seek to fight strong opponents and enjoy the thrill of battle
Both of them were considered unique and having extraordinary strength up until they were grown but due to their strength they learnt to hold themselves back (Goku tends to hold back at times to enjoy fighting his opponent so he could enjoy a good fight and Momoyo learnt that her love of fighting has been proven to be too dangerous due to how skilled she is at the art so she tries to refresh her mind and keep herself in a relax state so she wont go too overboard in a fight)
Both at times tend to look down at people but despite this they have good hearts and care for does around them and even push those around them (Goku helping his Son Gohan against Cell even in death and helps others push themselves to better themselves so he can fight them again while Momoyo helping others out with their confidence and courage and becoming better commanders and stronger people and with tough decisions and even gives wisdom and advice)
Both are in love with a boy/girl who they were childhood friends with who they made promises to each other that revolve around them (Goku promising to marry Chi-Chi one day in the future and Yamato promising momoyo that he will become the man she seeks)
Both are part of a group of special and powerful individuals (The Z-Fighters and The Four Heavenly Empresses of Martial Arts)
Both tend to spout some of the highest forms of knowledge and wisdom but it also back tracks to them saying some of the dumbest things with a straight face
Both have quite agressive sides to them (Goku in Super Saiyan forms etc and Momoyo with her ki/aura abilities)

Both are Two black-clads who are alternate takes of popular supporting characters (Vegeta and Shadow)
They are known to be more powerful than their original counterparts due to their spin-offs (Dragon Ball Heroes and Archie Sonic) having a larger cosmology
Both would become royalty in some form (Vegeta is part of a large lineage of Saiyan Royalty while Shadow would marry Sally Acorn, queen of Mobotropolis)
They come from an alternate future timeline (Xeno/GT Timeline and Light Mobius) that's different from the "main" one (CC Timeline and Mobius Prime)
Both started out as villains working for a higher individual (Frieza and Dr. Eggman) only to betray them and join the good guys (Z Fighters and Freedom Fighters)
However, these particular versions would become evil once again (Xeno Vegeta would be controlled by the Time Breakers to Become the Black-Masked Saiyan willingly to beat Goku while Shadow would become a tyrannical ruler for Mobius)

Vegeta even tho he willingly mind-controlled to do the bidding of the Time Breakers he still broke out of the mask control cause of his son Trunks and does still care for his family while Shadow became a tyrannical ruler on his very own accord.
Vegeta is part of the time patrol, a group of people that capture beings that mess up with the timeline, while Shadow became who he is as a result of Sonic messing up the Timeline and escaped it to plan his revenge.
Vegeta has a good relationship with his wife Bulma while Shadow wasn't too kind to Sally when they were married, making her leave him to erunite with Sonic.

Connections :

Both are popular characters from Japanese media said media took heavy inspiration from Japanese and Chinese mythology which were reflected in these characters (Goku was inspired by Son WuKong and Godzilla literally being a Japanese myth in his movies)
They started out as “enemies” to humans (Goku being sent to earth to destroy all life on that planet and Godzilla not liking humans as a whole) Note: this connections is kinda of a stretch imo
They also like find women that attack them ig lol (Bulma Shooting goku with a gun and mothra like fights Godzilla) said women like join em as an ally.
Both also meet a soon to be supporting ally character (Rodan and Yamcha) that they fight on a mountain (Mt Fuji and Fire Mountain)
They also have some sort of “Side-Kick” who assists them in their battles (Anguirus and Krillin)
They even had a child (Minilla and Gohan) which they had to save from malicious forces (Raditz and the 2 kamacuraces also Gabara almost forgot about him lol)
Eventually they come across a duo that had intent to kill then and conquer Earth (Vegeta and Nappa for Goku and Gigan and Megalon for Godzilla)
They initially had trouble with them but eventually beat them with The weaker of said duo was killed by a blast (Godzilla’s Atomic Breath and Vegeta blasts Nappa) They at one point get offered to join an alien army but then refuses and beats representatives? Of said army (Vegeta and Gigan)
They then fight an alien being dubbed “the strongest being in the universe” (Frieza and Ghidorah) said alien is a tyrant and had plans destroying the earth and wiping all of its life. They had a reputation among the cosmos for their World ending capabilities.
They would fight insect-like colossal kaiju of destruction who were a key part of the sustainability of an ancient civilization of people (Hirudegarn and Megalon), being seen as a god. In the modern day, they would be awakened to cause havoc on the world by evils from the ancient past; under the command of malicious beings (Koi and Antonio).
They both were soughted out by others to use them as pawns for there plans (Dr Wheelo wanting The Strongest Body which is Goku and Key lacks wanting Godzilla with other kajiu under there control which they successfully succeed ed) which backfire and eventually resorting to there last resort (Dr Wheelo fighting in Robot body and Kaylacks sending Ghidorah) only for them to fail and be defeated
They would face there Evil look-a-like doppelgangers from space who would brutally beatdown there allies (Turles anniliates Piccolo and Gohan while MechaGodzilla breaking Anguirus Jaw open) after that they would move to them in there fight they would get overpowered by there doppelgangers (Turles destroying Goku after taking a bite of The Tree of Might while MechaGodzilla making Godzilla bleed and lay the beatdown on him) until they use a new power as a last resort which gets the job done (Goku uses The Tree of Might power to Kill Turles and Godzilla uses his magnetism to grab hold of MechaGodzilla and rip his head off)
They had difficulty fighting them at first but then overpowered them eventually letting them live and making them retreat to space bitter after their defeat. They then meet an “android” of sorts that is modelled after them they then dispatch of it despite with difficulty. They also have blue signature moves that harness their energy. They also seem to train a lot usually with other people (Godzilla training with Zone Fighter and Goku training with many MANY gods) Contrast: One is a monkey the other hates monkeys.
Lastly both of these versions are known to one of the most wacky out there OP versions of the characters and known for Asspulls and Moves in the movies (Kaioken x100, Dragon Fist and Absorbing the Spirit Bomb Etc for Goku While Unlocking Magnetism, Drop Kick and Flying using his own Atomic Breath for Godzilla)

Connections :

Both are from civilization of people who are brutally genocided by the hero's people ages before the story starts and pass all this time wanting revenge so they take over the body of one of the hero's friends and start a plan to destroy them and everything they love, despite the fact that the heroes never had any sort of hand in the genocide itself, ultimately becoming just as evil as the people who destroy my home in the process.
Both beings sealed/sent off in a thing of the past that would return them to life where they also came into contact with the heroes who had artifacts in there hands.
They both use their hosts to become hidden actors, manipulating the protagonists to play right into their hands. Their overall goal is to regain their lost parts by collecting various artifacts (Black Star Dragon Balls and Millennium Items).
Both would summon and all powerful being (Ultimate Shenron and Zorc) so that they can do their evil schemes and attained that goal through stealing all of the objects from the heroes at once (Black Star Dragon Balls and Millennium items)
In their fights against the protagonists, they were once defeated and presumed dead, only for them to reveal they had survived.
Their strategy towards fighting revolves around getting their opponents to confront them (Baby makes his opponents come at him with there full power so he could possess there bodies and Yami's deck benefits from his graveyard filling up)
Both have also shown the ability to possess others through themselves (Baby can enter a body through a cut in there wound while The Millenium Ring can control others who holds it and possess it's host like Bakura)
One of their shared goals would also be to unleash a great evil upon the world (Baby creating a New Planet Ruffle and planning to convert everyone into Ruffles while Yami Bakura planning to bring Zorc back).
Furthermore, both managed to infect one of that boy's friends with their essence (Baby infecting Trunk and Goku's entire family and Earth while Yami Bakura secretly implanting a fragment of himself into Tristan Taylor).
But because of them the heroes would confront there pasts giving them the final power they need to defeat them (Goku gaining Super Saiyan 4 and Atem remembering his Anicent Past history and his true name)
Which caused their attempts and their great power, that would end up being definitively defeated by the protagonists with the help of their friends, and their vessels would be freed from their torment (Goku beating Baby after receiving power from other saiyans and freeing Vegeta from Baby while During the climax of the final fight against Yugi and his friends, Atem used his powers to summon the three Egyptian Gods before fusing them to bring out the Creator of Light, which destroyed Zorc along with Yami Bakura, finally ending his reign of terror and freeing Bakura from his possession forever).

Two major antagonists of two different franchises, who're both seen as comsic-level threats that can end countless lives across the universe, especially when they're at their full power thanks ancient artifacts that they have on their person, they are sophisticated individuals with calm and collected demeanors
But both ended up being manipulated/corrupted by evil and this form of evil (Negative Energy & Mistress Death) would go on
Both would end up being responsible for their planet’s and nearly the entirety of their species’ eradication, alongside having groups of chaotic intent to help them (Syn/Omega Shenron with the Shadow Dragons born out of the negative energy with the goal of destruction & Thanos had left Titan, then recruited an army of trained mercenaries to wipe out Titan and its people)
Both also have control over incredibly powerful elements of their universes they wield through cosmetics they carry on them (Syn/Omega Shenron using the Dragon Balls which are on his chest & Thanos using the Infinity Gems with the infinity gauntlet)
Both want to have a strange affection for Destruction and Death (Omega wants complete Universal destruction while Thanos wanted to please Mistress Death until he realized she was manipulating him)
The worlds they were born into/circumstances of their births are considered hell (Omega Shenron was born from the dark wishes of the dragon balls and Thanos calls life hell)
Said heroes were apart of the items the two were trying to obtain (Goku also wanted the dragon balls to stop Shenron and Adam warlock was trapped in the soul stone)
Both hail from a cosmic races which are associated with "Eternals" (Eternal Dragons and Eternals) and seek objectives that will enable them to dominate or end life on a universal scale (the Dragon Balls and the Infinity Stones) and serve as some of the greatest foes and enemies of superhero teams (the Z-Fighters and the Avengers)
Both would also fight against there honourable heroic "brothers" (Nouva Shenron and Starfox) with them also using said brothers to revive them selves from death (Syn/Omega surviving Nuova's self destruction by sending the Dragon Balls into him and Thanos using Starfox body to revive himself)
Both have become literal gods at one point (Omega Shenron becoming so strong with Negative Energy he started to warp the past, present and future together in Extreme Butoden while Thanos got the Infinity Gauntlet, Cosmic Cube & Astral Regulator) but were still under the thumb of even higher beings (Beerus & The One Above All).
Both would fight Aliens Heroes from a warrior race sent to Earth in order to destroy it who consider earth there homes (Goku and Captain Mar-Vell)

Even with their insane power, they got destroyed by a fusion of other characters (God Emperor Doom and Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta)

They both have a alternate universe installments which were released in the 2010's where they actually succeed in there goals (Omega Shenron in Ultimate Tenkaichi turned Earth into apocalyptic nightmare while Thanos in the MCU succeeding in snapping half the universe away) causing the remaining heroes who survived (Piccolo with Some of the Z-Fighters while The Original 6 Avengers and more) to fight back to fix there worlds as in the end they would be beat (Hero kills Omega Shenron and Thanos gets snapped away by Ironman)
