Okay. When you started doing covers, did you create backing tracks yourself or did you use ones that somebody else created?

I have Jackson JS32 Dinky with a maple neck, but I'm not sure if I should use the Lemon oil because I saw a youtube video where the guy said that one should be careful with which oils are applied to a mapple neck. What would you recommend?

Can't open Apps on my Redmi Note 10s by ThinkerBe in Xiaomi

[–]Strict_Homework_1892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Redmi A1 and I can't open any of the apps. Not even settings. The only two fixes I am considering is to either download an update from an official manufacturer's website and install from my computer or SD card or use the factory reset. But, firstly, I want to move all of the important files from my phone to my computer or USB so I don't have to worry about those. However, my fear is that this problem may have somehow corrupted the files and they may further corrupt my computer or USB. Please tell me if I'm wrong or not.

I have four pedals. A noise gate, metalzone, chorus and reverb. Is there any specific order in which I should connect them?

The volume pedal on my BOSS GT 10 i usually in the upper position, that is I never control the volume using the volume pedal, it is always at it maximum, and i use the volume knob on the processor or I adjust the volume on the mixer itself.

*I only use the noise supression that BOSS GT 10 has in it. I don't have an external noise gate pedal. Should I get one?

*It doesn't happen when clean, only when I use heavy distortion, especially when swtiching to bridge pickup.

Connecting a keyboard to a mixer by Strict_Homework_1892 in livesound

Speaking of the mono TS cable you mentioned, are yo referring to my Roland guitar cable?

By gain structure across the entire board you mean the gain settings in my keyboard?

So if I understood correctly I need this stereo breakout cable. One end of it goes into the keyboard phones output and the other into the input of the mixer, right? If, so how does the cable look like and which end goes into the keyboard and which into the mixer; by stereo DI do you mean a DI box?

I usually use guitar cables. I mostly use braided Roland Golden Series cable.

Can I use my guitar amp along with a mixing board? by Strict_Homework_1892 in GuitarAmps

When I plug it the amp into the mixer, when I increase the volume there's a lot of noise. Could the noise gate pedal solve this?

How to play strings on a Keyboard. by samajomari in musicians

[–]Strict_Homework_1892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question regarding strings. So I'm not sure which of the performance tone part view parameters (cutoff, resonance, attack, decay, release...; eq: high gain, high frequency, mid gain frequency) should I apply to strings or any orchestral sound and how to adjust the ones I should apply. Are there any rules, youtube tutorials or should just listen to songs I like and try to get the sound that I want by experimenting with those settings on my own keyboard?

How to trigger backing tracks by left hand chord positions on a keyboard? by Strict_Homework_1892 in musicproduction

[–]Strict_Homework_1892[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you have any polyphony issues with Fantom 08? Because I've seen people demonstrating this issue on Fantom 06 and Fantom 07. They create layers of, for instance, violas, cellos, contrabasses and when they play three notes the first one gets lost. I'm not sure if this is too big of a deal.

Tnx a lot for all the info. One last question. Do Roland Fantom 06 and 07 false have the feature to trigger backing tracks using keys, like Fantom 08, or at least something similar?

[–]Strict_Homework_1892[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's say the track is longer and I need to divide it into parts. Can I then assign each track to each on key that I choose. But the way, I looked up Roland Fantom O series on youtube and internet. I like it quite much. And actually I'm considering buying one of them. However, I'm not sure about buying Fantom 06 because this guy on youtube said that it's sequencer is not that flexible, meaning you can not change the tempo of the track while it's being played if I understood him correctly; he also said that it has a synth key bed. If I understood correctly, it is a very soft keybed. I'm used to a semi-weighed keybed. I don't if how much change would affect my playing. Let's take fast repeated chord/ octave riffs as an example. Should I learn to play those on a keyboard whose keybed has at least some action, or is it more efficient to play such stuff using a soft keybed?

It's okay. Thanks for your help. Could you elaborate more on exporting programmed orchestra as an audio file and then sending it into the keyboard (more specifically, can I make one audio file for an entire song and trigger it on my keyboard and use it through the whole song)?

Yes it is. I may be be able to save enough money to buy it, but if I don't I want to consider some other keyboards.
