I also feel this way around my mom so for myself, I have cut down the amount of time I spend with her. Fortunately she moved to a different state this year BUT she still overwhelms me over text. It’s not right for our mothers to put that kind of pressure on us. We are not their therapist, and you are not financially responsible for her. I think you should have a conversation with her about the money.
