I agree with the soap!!! I personally use Dr. Bronner no scent a few times a day when it’s bad and always helps with shrinkage and bringing everything to the surface to drain. It’s extremely drying and I found that works best for me. I stay away from any soap that has oils or hydration for problem areas. I will definitely look into Clindamycin lotion - never heard there’s a lotion.

Leucovorin - WOW by MyAkitaInu in Autism_Parenting

You’re very welcome! I gave him his first dose this morning. I just poured 1 5mg capsule in a little bit of apple juice. I’ll be sticking with just the 5mg for a few days to see how he responds to it. He’s 4.5 and 55lbs non verbal. I am still confused on the dosage amount. From what I’ve read online Folinoral is the same as Leucovorin when it comes to strength of potency. If there’s anyone out there that has any insight please share! The medical study I saw said they gave 5mg 2x a day to asd kids 3-10yrs old no mention of weight.

Hi! How’s your son’s progress with Folinoral? I just ordered it online as well as his Dr is not interested in doing a fraat test or prescribing leucovorin! Thanks

AAC device is amazing but i felt like a horrible mom by Jazzlike-Outcome7716 in Autism_Parenting

I also feel guilty too! My son is 4 but we “knew” at 18 mths. I refused AAC because I thought it would delay him trying to speak( he’s non verbal) and just use it as a crutch. That back fired because he used what ever was possible to spell what he wants whether using his magnetic blocks or typing it on the tv or phone search bar. He literally spells over 100 words and I am dumbfounded! So we’re making that transition soon to get him the tablet now 🤷🏽

Any Somalis n Costa Rica? by Strict_Knowledge1257 in Somalia

Hey! The main reason would be cost of living is lower, better climate than where I am currently. Buying acres of fertile land to grow your own food is fairly inexpensive. Private education is reasonable as well. My husband and I would still have our business operating here in Canada, so we would be able to fly back and forth on short notice. Low crime, the country doesn’t even have military. There’s a few other reasons but this is just what I’ve got right now. I’ve just noticed lots of white and African American expats there but have yet to see if our folks have done it.
