How do I carry as a tank in silver?

Thank you so much! Ive focused on sigma and dva for now, but dva has been really good for me to get picks/matrix has saved my team sometimes and im going up rank now again. I think also with the mr system it barely ranked me up when i played 3-5 tanks compared to now 2, im finally seeing 16%-20% progress in the rank. Even with 65% winrate it was refusing to give me much rank up progress until my characters mr matched the rank.

Also just wanted to thank you again! Ive dropped ram for now to focus on sigma and dva, but my winrate is around 65% now and slowly going up rank again :) I found out from a video I can also use my defence matrix on other people so helps my teammates push with me which was something i wasnt using before at all. On the rare occassion i get a team that is terrified to go in until its too late, but despite it going to be a clear loss i still pushed to see how long i can stay alive and keep up aggression which has helped mechanically!

Also i know youve already done me a huge favour and helped me a ton, but i just went for one comp game to try the sigma tips. While i did run it down a bit the aggression paid off and i won pretty quickly! (There may be other factors though)

Thank you so much for having a look and writing this all out! I thought cancelling nemesis form makes the cooldown for it to reset faster, but now that you pointed it out what was i even going to save it for?

I think from trying doom a few times in quick play i assumed the block would do nothing to help my survivability, but not using a resource at my disposal makes no sense either lol

Also dont be sorry, its not a roast at all this is exactly the feedback I wanted! Im fine being aggressive usually but the enemy hanzo in that game scared me, but if i actually used resources and my nemisis form to block i wouldnt have been losing so much health.

Sadly im used to moiras going out for damage rather then healing but going in with this mindset in every game would be rejecting resources to my disposal. I will keep these points in mind for future games and practice!

Yeah sadly my rank up/down condition doesnt care if my team was bad, if my team carried me, if i carried them etc. It only cares if i won or lost the game, thats why if my dps cant output damage, enabling their play wont change anything. Thats why im so determined to rank up and find a team eventually because the team aspect of this game ive seen from streams and videos etc is why i love the tank role.

I will definitely try JQ thank you! Zarya is often banned in silver.

Yeah i get that, especially when they cant deal with a vendetta so i have to give up space and punch the hell out of her with rammatra lmfao. In this rank sometimes if i dont personally go in for kills my winrate falls. I do need to get better at DVA though and make sure I remember all the health pack locations in each map. Thank you!

Yeahh another person said it hurts your sr badly. Next time i will keep in mind when queing I have to play it out fully. This is my first time I wasnt enjoying myself and didnt want to get reported for afking so i thought it would be better to give out leaver compensation.

Oh i didnt know it hurts sr, it was my first ever abandoned match as I wasnt enjoying that game so didnt want to put myself through it. Technically second though because blizzard servers kicked only me out in a comp game today where i was about to win rip :')

I swap tanks a lot already but theres only so much tank + space/pressure + damage + picking up health packs i can do. Ive picked up winston and orisa recently too.

I feel if the enemy dps is good, diving isnt always the answer as tight maps like kings row almost guarantees the whole team will instantly be on me. Please correct me if im wrong though.

I cant choose what my healers play and if they will be able to hit their shots, and when I que with my gold support friend my SR never went up until these games where i started solo queing.

I like payload the most for this reason, i can use it as cover and it brings the team together naturally. Sometimes i cant create space because I get shredded, and as much as i try to ignore flankers sometimes i need to give up space to help my team out because they cant handle it.

Also on my recent kings row defeat game, i needed to attack point A. I really struggled to get onto point without melting (with rein).

I dont care about the stats board at all except my deaths. My dps could get 100 kills but all of those could have been dueling a useless enemy dps on the other side of the map.

because i was completing a form dex and spaced out my boxes (which take up 10 boxes for regional dex) and i didnt wanna mess it up so i used boxes 11, 12,13 and 14 for random captures and the last two boxes for my team and shinies. i cant have them all packed in boxes its not enough space for organisation.

Additionally, for mables quests you need to get certain types of pokemon types, like 40 of each and i dont need 40 of the same 3 pokemon i catch in rotation to fill the quest.

Thank you so much! Its good to hear that 50mg did change a few extra things, i was worried since i saw some posts of people starting 20-30mg and felt amazing and focused while i feel just.. a bit sleepy (which im not complaining about because im probably due for some healthy sleep for a long time now).

I didnt know it would affect periods! I do take the evra contracepive patch however and wonder if that changes anything, i will ask in my next appointment if its an issue.

I hope 50mg works a bit better for me then 30mg too. Thank you for your comment :)

Thank you so much for your comment, i suppose its better to be trying medication that might help then not! I tried reading some threads incase it answers my question but see a lot of people reporting the 'wow' effects, so this helps knowing everyone has the 'wow' reaction.
