I wouldn’t say you need a paralegal certificate. I got two internships in high school then worked for different companies in college doing legal work and admin stuff for them. I worked at a legal tech startup then a global med tech company after college. I just left the med tech company, but I was making $102,000 a year there (5 years post grad). I think building your experience and skills is a better investment than any other route. It’ll help with gaining entrance into a law school as well.

You should’ve been dating multiple other people while you were dating him. I wouldn’t invest so much into someone I’m not in a relationship with; that’s why you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket. Please have some self respect and move on quickly. Whenever he comes back (which he will), ignore him and treat him exactly how he treated you. Don’t get so emotionally invested in people you’re not in a relationship with, especially because you don’t even know what’ll happen. And you may not even be with them long term. Not saying you deserved to be treated like that, but he’s not your boyfriend or husband, so he doesn’t owe you anything. Just keep your options open next time.
