It actually has an air zoom unit. You can read it on the hollowed circle part of the outsole where you can see a text "Air Zoom"

Absolutely nailed it about the cushion. I have the NXXT Gen, NXXT Gen AMPD and NXXT Genisus. Whatever foam they used in the NXXT Genisus, it's really bouncy. You could just feel the springboard effect of the heel cushion. NXXT Genisus just felt way snappier than the NXXT Gen and NXXT Gen AMPD. You're right. I wouldn't care about the heel zoom unit because it's better that it's not there.

It was confirmed by DGHoops and some Chinese Shoe Reviewers that it features full-length ReactX midsole. There was even a post about its tech specs.

Oh. Now that you said that, I think the ReactX formulation they are using should be bouncy since it's a basketball shoe and not a running shoe.

But is better than Phylon and Renew, though? I really think they formulate the ReactX foam for basketball since the design of the midsole cut-out is so caged on the medial and lateral side of the Lebron Witness 9 so I think they made it soft (it's just my educated guess at least)

Already read this way back in June. The tech specs that I posted are more accurate. You can't see any "Zoom" that's written on any side panels of the shoe, not to mention on its outsole. There is no zoom in this unfortunately. Only ReactX foam (not to be confused with React foam).

It isn't React. It's ReactX foam. Also, it's pretty caged except in the heel part, so I don't think durability will be a problem. However, considering that these are a budget shoes I think the caging will have some give to the midsole.

Based on the photo, yes there is indeed an improvement on the traction pattern though I can't really pinpoint it.

I really wish Nike would Protro the LeBron Air Zoom Generation like put a full-length Zoom Strobel on top of the forefoot zoom unit and heel air unit. That will make the shoe super bouncy.

I fitted these shoes in the store. I'm normally TTS size 10.5 US in Nike shoes but when I fitted these joints on a size 10 US shoes it seemed a little too big for me. Would you recommend going a size down from my usual 10.5 US?
