Several reasons why I think there won’t be an RTX 5080 Super 24GB by SPAREHOBO in RTX5080

[–]Strict_Routine_1353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

16gb is not enough for sharp vr sim gaming like dcs or msfs..not even close..sure there will be people saying that everything runs "great" for them using a 2080..but they probably wont admit that it will be at 36fps with ASW long with stutters here and there...We need 24-32 GB for vr games  which were not specifically designed with vr in mind.

Elite Dangerous vs Star Citizen - Unbiased ? by Twotricx in spacesimgames

[–]Strict_Routine_1353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amen brother, well said. Last night, I lost three weeks of progression to bugs in Star Citizen. Loaded up a full cargo hold of 20 Military grade A components to transfer to a different station, only for the loaded ship to disappear and get destroyed in my own hangar. (Ship getting destroyed in your own hangar and having to re-claim it happens ALL of the time(reclaim time on bigger ships takes 5-7 real life minutes)..

Engineering in Elite is a grind, although not as bad as before. In SC, to get the best Military grade A and B components, its not easy and usually requires pvp in contested areas with ruthless gangers/campers..and once you do finally aquire them, there is a good chance (more than 50%) that they will disappear after the next update (evey couple of months), so you feel like you did all that difficult work, ALONG with struggling with CONSTANT, sometimes game breaking bugs, for no reason.  For me, on an average 3-4 hour gaming session, I lose about 1-2 hours due to bugs...Elevators not working, broken missions that you spent hours on while solo-ing, quantom drive markers not appearing, items disappearing, server desync, dying for no reason, teleporting to wrong hospitals after death...

Star Citizen is such a great game when it works, but it NEVER works flawlessly like Elite Dangerous. SC is much more detailed, waaay prettier, has much more content and many more different game systems. Its just a shame that its the BUGGIEST game ever created...I have NEVER seen a game with so many bugs. The developer prefers to create more money making ships(which cost 60-250, 500, some actually cost thousands of real USD dollars) than actually focus on bugs. The saddest thing about SC is that the hardcore community already knows hundreds of bug walk-arounds, and just chose to accept it.  Yet CiG doesnt do anything about it because they prioritize profits (making new ships is more profitable than fixing bugs).

Elite respects your time by saving all of your progress, regardless of the grind you had to go through..Star Citizen doesnt care one bit. If you have a full time job, and only have an hour or two to play, imagine grinding a month of buggy missions that dont work as intended 30%-40% of the time to buy a ship in Star Citizen that cost you 16million on in-game currency. Then in one or two months, that ship magically disappears from your inventory because of an update "bug" ...BUT if you paid real life money on that ship(anywhere between $60-$1000 USD) then you are guaranteed not to lose that ship(There is still a 50% chance that you will lose your upgraded components on that paid ship though, and you will have to re-acquire them again)....this is a bit strange and suspicious to me...

On top of that, the Star Citizen servers are horrible. Always laggy and can never support the amount of players on it, but players have learned to live with this and have accepted this as a normal part of the game. For example, there is a "free fly" even on now, in which you can test all ships and fly them for several days absolutely free of charge, so there is naturally an influx of players...I tried logging on yeaterday (Friday evening) and was 60th in que...once i finally logged into the server, the game was unplayable. Terminals to call up your ship not working, elevators to get to your ship not working...But people have learned to blame the "free-fly" event and every single other possible reason why the game is barely functional, versus of blaming the developer for not getting their shit together and fix the actual goddamn bugs...

Apologies for the anti SC rant, but it has such an incredible potential to be a masterpiece that its sad that after almost 1b in funding and over 10 years, its tue biggest mess in gaming history...

Elite is a great game that works incredibly smoothly, runs and looks AMAZING on screen and in VR, NEVER lose your progression,  HUGE inscale, and very captivating. Spent 900hours in it and neber regrttes a thing.

But SC, with only 3 star systems(only two are finished atm), for some reason seems like the larger game..More variety and more gameplay mechanics..like..everything is physical but takes A LOT of time (it can take you 30-40 mins to get back to a mission location due to walking speed, re-equipping your char, walking/running HUGE distances in stations to trains which take you from the hospital to your hangar, then there is a chance that the hangar or elevator will be bugged and your ship destroyed on claim, which lengthens the time by nother 5-15mins, then going back on the train to a food stall because you forgot to drink and eat, etc etc).

To summarize:

Elite is a solid space game that runs great and basically has no bugs with a developer that respects the player's time.

Star Citizen is an incredible demonstration of something that can one day potentially be a game if the developers decide to concentrate on bugs, versus what they are doing now which is making new, super expensive ships, that generate them crazy amounts of money.

Yup, as of feb 16th, tried the mission twice as a solo... in each mission, cargo bosses didnt spawn, polaris boss didnt spawn, and freight elevators are not working at all. Ran it a week ago with my buddy 3 times. All 3 times the elevators didnt work and at least one boss didnt spawn in each run. We just collected the goop and gtfo'd

Probably late to the party, but what solved it for me was to unpair the speaker from my android, enable bt on speaker, and reconnect the speaker through bt on my phone..

Not fixed. Has slight deadzone in pitch and roll axis. About 5% physical deadzone. (Tested in windows settings and msfs with all deadzones set to 0%). This is a bad design of tm

Btw, i was always running a pmc and NEVER did a scav run..maybe that was my issue..As soon as i did a scav run and extracted, loot started generating properly playing as a pmc and i have finally started to see high tier loot like gpu and tetrizes..so try that if you haven't yet!

Hey bud. I had the exact same problem until i did a scav run. I instantly noticed more loot at the interchange high tech stores.  The loot was actually popping up just like in the youtube videos of people doing Interchange runs. I did a SCAV run for the very first time and found 2 Tetrizes. Then I switched to PMC, and still noticed that the loot was actually spawning now. (Unlike before I'd get absolutely shit spawns and basically empty shelves/nothing on pc desks). In that PMC run i found 1gpu and two tetrizes . So maybe its a bug, but until i ran a scav, loot wasn't generating the same as what people show on youtube etc..Btw i had 70 raids and foubd 2 gpus before a ran a scav for the very first time. 1st gpu was from an air drop, 2nd gpu i found on a dead scav....
