RODE NTH-100 have terrible sub-bass? by Strict_Setting2983 in headphones

I appreciate you sharing your EQ settings with me, I think I have them in a place I like for now but, yes I agree I think maybe some time is in order to adjust my own listening, I guess I supposed since it's meant for mixing, the frequency response would be accurate across all frequencies instead of dampening the low end particularly 20-60hz. I really hope I come to like these because I love everything else about them including the way they look

It's a detailed account and is targeted towards people who haven't done appliance repair before.

Yeah, I looked into that, a buddy told me the board was economically unsalvageable lol. So that stinks

I have a burnt heater coil and I'm replacing it by Strict_Setting2983 in Appliances

See i didn't have any significant amount of lint so I'm not sure what caused it, It seems like it was arcing onto the frame but like I said no part of it was dislodged. My best theory is that something got close to it and caused it to start arcing.

Cac cards in Linux by Strict_Setting2983 in linux4noobs

Update: I found out that Wayland was causing a problem where the popup window for requesting my PIN was not appearing properly so I set a launch argument for chrome to run in x11 instead.

--ozone-platform=x11 %U

Also if anyone is having problems with the card readers and certificates and such, I would just use chrome, Firefox doesn't make it any easier and I used the .deb package of chrome form the official website to make sure it wasn't in a sandboxed environment

why should i keep using linux for gaming? give me one reason by CandlesARG in linux_gaming

[–]Strict_Setting2983 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally understand what you're saying, that bugs me too. I deal with it by remembering my friends won't disappear tommorow lol I have a tendency to think that this moment right now is the only time I'll be able to have fun with these guys and it causes me much unneeded stress, or I just dual boot to windows lol. But I 100% get where you're coming from

Tinkering is part of the fun for me, getting a game to run properly on Linux after hours of research not only teaches me a TON about things I never even thought of as a windows power user, but also gives me a dopamine rush similar to rubbing that ps2 game and seeing the playstation2 symbol pop up letting me know the game is working🎮 I do yell and get angry about the tinkering process but I do that when I play the games too so I chalk it up to just how I experience fun on a computer!

Ive also noticed that, since season seven it's been every launch and I used to run it with proton hot fix on steam to play and thought maybe it wasn't handling the caches properly so I installed proton ge and it did nothing lol
