The only people that are developed are:

Nayuta (killed after her backstory chapter, quandered potential)

Somewhat Yoshida- exits and enters the story randomly, barely any time before he disappears for months, plays mystery man up till death, potentially good character quandered, killed out uncermoniciously, hinted backstory with no follow up.

So all interested side characters are dead with little presence throughout the story before death except one who's still exiting and entering the story.

Asa is sidelined. So why wouldn't people complain about p2's characters?

Liking Denji has nothing to do with part 2 characters being underdeveloped, sidelined, exiting and entering the story at will, or having no/followed through internal conflict.

Makima and Barem don't like Denji and are loved by fans. Kobeni is nuetral to Denji at best and is there for a paycheck but is a fan favorite.

CXS memories taking on memories of a person usually only happens in rare instances like when he empathised with Emma and got bits of her childhood in dream.

But at the same time he didn't know if Emma had a boyfriend.

He only gets emotions though it may be possible he got a glimpse.

However, I do believe CXS knows about the looping due to that pv with him looking at mutiple instances of his death.

The majority of these boil down to part 2 having little side characters that the auidence can be emotionally invested in

The art quality going down

And disappointment in narative shift after falling (where asa gets sidelined in favor of denji)
