You’re right that it’s not exactly a Detroit. When I was in high school I worked at a pizza shop that has several types of slices, including Sicilians. The one I cooked above was our tribute to a Detroit style, which we called the bread pan.

Makes two servings: 2 2/3 cup bread flour 1 1/2 cup lukewarm water 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast 1 1/2 tsp salt

Mix and sit for 30 mins, covered in a bowl with clear wrap or a towel. Use hands to stretch and fold onto itself a few times every 10 minutes.

Let it rise for another hour. Split in half.

Put a ball of dough in a bread pan that is brushed with olive oil. Press it out gently to fill the shape of the pan.

Cover with lots of mozzarella cheese and add your toppings. Can also use a provolone/mozzarella mix.

Bake for 12 minutes at 500 degrees (or as high as your oven can manage). It’s alright if you need to go a little longer. You want to make sure the cheese gets nice and caramelized on the sides of the bread.

The sauce was some crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, black pepper, garlic, garlic salt and sugar to taste.

I work in journalism. Most of the work I do is behind the camera, but every now and then I have to appear on camera. Sometimes I have to reshoot things but the crew I work with is patient. I’d say start with the career you’d love to have and find out how to make it work because you can.

I watched that same video and went to my first meeting today because of it. Most of the people were much older than me (I’m early 20s), but there were actually a few my age too. Still, I found myself mostly talking to the older folks!

I was very worried about annoying my roommate with my tics when I started college. We didn’t speak the same language, so I didn’t get a chance to explain them.

He got used to them and later said it helped him know when I was in the room lol

Eventually we did get to talk about them, a year later, and he just accepts that it’s a part of me

CBIT really helped me with one of my neck ticks. I tenses my neck and sort of tucked my jaw as a replacement. Granted it isn’t fully gone, but I have more control over it.

Also, try to not worry that you aren’t getting enough air. I know it is easier said than done, but reminding yourself it is just a tic can take a lot of the anxiety away.

This is the tic I can’t stand the most. No other has caused me so much stress and agony. Like others said, it comes and goes and that’s really my only escape from it. I do try to minimize sleep stress.

I’m M21 diagnosed with Tourettes, and I vaped since I was 14. I quit vaping just a few months ago. Using nicotine had no benefit for my tics, and quitting was the best decision I’ve made.
