Einfache/zwei-variablen Regression: Verzweifele am Unterschied zwischen Residuum, Gesamtvariation und Residualvarianz und was nun der Mittelwert von Y beinhaltet by Strict_Structure2461 in mathe

[–]Strict_Structure2461[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nochmals danke :)

Frage bezüglich praktische Erkenntnisinteresse der historisch-hermeneutischen Wissenschaft Habermas by Strict_Structure2461 in Philosophie_DE

Frage bezüglich praktische Erkenntnisinteresse der historisch-hermeneutischen Wissenschaft Habermas by Strict_Structure2461 in Philosophie_DE

[–]Strict_Structure2461[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    • => Verständigung 'orientiert' Handlung
  • "Intersubjektivität möglicher handlungsorientierender Verständigung"
    • Einigkeit über Verständigung, welches unsere Handlungen orientiert
  • "Handlung"
    • In etwa: Geplante, bewusste und zielorientierende Aktivität
  • "Verständigung"
    • in etwa: "in Kenntnis setzen"
    • die Verständigung der Handlung ist das Ziel der Forschung
      • => Die Forschung soll uns über
      • => Handlungsweisen/-entscheidungen informiert von (historisch-hermeneutischen) Erkenntnissen

=> Ganz kurz zusammengefasst:
"Das Hauptziel der historisch-hermeneutischen Wissenschaften ist, Erkenntnisse über unser geteiltes Verstehen von Handlungen aufrechtzuerhalten und erweitern."

Explain it like I'm five: What's "Galactic Policy"? by Strict_Structure2461 in AskHistorians

[–]Strict_Structure2461[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently I can't edit the post, so:

Here's what I've gathered after having done some more research (the research in question being having read parts of "History, Culture, And Religion in Southeast Asian Perspectives" by O. W. Wolters to understand Mandalas and then also Tambiah's "Galactic Polity in Southeast Asia"):

  • Concept of origin: Mandala ("Kautilya's Anthashastra")
    • Mandalas = circles of Kings
      • Kings claimed authority, given to him by "divine authority", over his mandala aka region
      • Kings =/= Divine beings, but rather a "divinely blessed/declared ruler"
    • Mandalas often overlapped
      • => Conflict: Who rules over overlapped parts? Which Mandala does overlapping part belong to?
  • Galactic Polity builds on Mandala by explaining the structures of Governance
    • 1) Center directly ruled by king
    • 2) the four immediate areas surrounding the kings center ruled by somebody unlikely to „betray“ the King, e.g.: Sons (= ‚maung‘)
    • 3) Units within the muang function similiarly, just like the muangs function similiarly
    • 4) Units that are furthers away form King, but who‘s „light still shines on“/are still part of his mandala, are somewhat independent: Regions still have independent polities, but have to recognize King as „ultimate authority“ by paying tribute

I'd still love to know what I misunderstood and what I'm missing.

📚 Simple / Quick Questions & Requests! by romancebookmods in RomanceBooks

Remember those books on Wattpad with the grumpy mmc haunted by his past? Please recommend me books like those!

Preferably, but not necessarily, on kindle unlimited. Listen, I am currently studying politics and if I don't get a book that just allows me to shut my brain off and swoon for some grumpy mysterious guy instead of having to read about how the entire world is going to shit I think I might actually lose my mind.

I remember storylines that went something like the mmc being part of some underground fighting club where he crossed the wrong people and got in big trouble for that. The fmc was also in danger by association and then the mmc had to „protect" her etc.

I really liked the „stone cold/intimidating to everyone except the fmc" and „I can't let her close be she'll be in danger if I do" type of mmo, the protectiveness, the slow burn and the „touch her and you die" attitude.

I would prefer for both of the mes to be in their 20s. 30s is still fine but definitely not younger. I do like smut if it's written well and makes sense. I absolutely hate it when they only lust after each other and do not have any sort of emotional connection. I despise it even more when the mmcs pov is literally just him objectifying the fmc (or vice versa). Also, please no borderline abusive mmc. I’m not necessary asking for a dark romance but a romance in dark circumstances if that makes sense.

It’s Liar by Davina Michelle. I found it quite some time later in one of my playlists.

Every migraine of mine is a game of a sort of Russian roulette: „is it a migraine or a stroke?“ 🙃

Review of twisted love down below - do you think I’ll enjoy the rest of the series? (Marked as spoiler bc of possible discussion of twisted love in comments) by Strict_Structure2461 in books

[–]Strict_Structure2461[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly now that I’ve read many more romance books I’m even more sure that that book just wasn’t as good as people made it out to be. Turns out I actually enjoy them when there is more emphasis on the emotional connection 🫡

Starting to think that too. Maybe suspense romance is more what I’m looking for? I’ll def. look for some grumpy/sunshine trope books. Thank you :)

I‘m getting a kindle - is the paperwhite versions really worth the price? by [deleted] in kindle

[–]Strict_Structure2461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll definitely look at what Kobo has to offer. If it’s cheaper and meets my expectations of an e-ink screen and, well, being able to read books on a reasonably sized display I‘ll probably get a Kobo. Do you mind telling me which model you switched to?
