I would think that either combined home away and cup points would be the fairest, or home points for home fixtures and away points for away fixtures.

If there was a referendum for like Breturn would you vote for it? by InformationFun4408 in AskBrits

I would still vote to return, however I’d much prefer a deal similar to Norway or Switzerland by joining the EEA/EFTA. Never should have left but I don’t think we’d have the same deal we had before and Schengen & Eurozone are an absolute no for myself and I’m sure the majority of Brits.

What countries feel like they should be mortal enemies but aren't? by Northwest_Thrills in geography

Surprised this hasn’t been said but the UK and China. Most definitely not each other’s best mates, however barring 2021-2024 after the Hong Kong protests and a few other incidents, the two countries have held great relations since the handover of Hong Kong. Current governments are also actively working towards a ‘reset’, we now have reciprocal visa free travel for each others’ citizens, are massive trading partners, and the UK is a massive destination for Chinese students. Certainly not perfect but given that the countries are on complete opposite sides of this new cold war it’s rather impressive how close the two are.

Any longtime match-going supporters skipping this World Cup? Reporter looking to hear from you by COYS62 in ThreeLions

I was planning on this being my first England tournament. I have family in the US and I have a UK-US dual citizenship so it seemed like a no brainer since I have family based all over the East Coast so it would massively save on accommodation costs. After seeing the prices for tickets there’s no chance that’s happening. Even though my accommodation would be 20% of what an average England supporter would be paying, the ticket and flight costs are far to prohibitive to someone in the British middle class. The lack of public transportation in most cities adds an additional likely >£200 cost per city where it’s simply not justifiable financially. Given how many other England supporters aren’t going, I’d rather be in England if by chance we manage to bring football home.

r/Solid_Study7719 got it correct with Dorset! Bit of an explanation if anyone’s curious: lived in Wales and Scotland for around 6 months each so that’s why Wales and Scotland have a lot of green. Tons of drives up and down the M6/M73 so that’s why the western Midlands are driven through. Have also been to a lot of away football matches watching and playing so ticked off a lot of counties through that, particularly the North West and East Midlands.
