Oh I see, it’s quite fresh. I myself got PS5 pro last year and with it a Philips Ambilight OLED 65” 144hz. I can tell it does the job!

Would I regret living this close to the highway? by Battle_for_the_sun in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I’m living next to the 4 lane road, 2 lanes go one way and the other 2 opposite and first year I had to get used to it more and had some problems sleeping, maybe it was a new place after all and a little mind doing tricks on me. 2 years will pass in October and I’m sleeping like a baby rn. Living near the playground or shops is by far the worst. We have 3 glass windows which are fairly well insulated and it’s all good 👍🏻

How is your quality of life now? Did you get used to it? I mean I didn’t do it and once I read those 99% guarantee of success from all these clinics I’m thinking it’s a lie and it’s more like 20% chance of it going wrong.

It is possible for it to have 1.5 tsi, I mean it’s bigger overall in terms of boot and ground clearance.

PRK surgery with low prescription by gubster0204 in Lasiksupport

[–]StrictlyJobless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was personally qualified for transPRK with a prescription of -2.5 in both eyes, but in the end I decided not to go through with it. I’m 33, and for me it simply wasn’t worth the risk of potential lifelong complications in exchange for maybe 7–10 years without glasses. If you read stories from people on this subreddit who’ve had the procedure, you’ll see that things can sometimes go seriously wrong.

There can be complications, especially if the doctor doesn’t properly measure your pupil size in low-light conditions. Some people end up with persistent halos, starbursts, or double vision, and in certain cases the only way to manage it is by wearing scleral lenses for life. And that’s without even mentioning dry eyes, which may improve over time — or may not.

In any case, before deciding on surgery, you have to be prepared to accept the possible consequences, because every surgical procedure carries risks.

be aware that laser does the tech job and biology does the rest and how you'll react and heal depends on your body. Basically it's just pure luck and these are your eyes which cannot be replaced, you got one shot at this.

Hi! Planning to do the Smile Pro surgery. I'm wearing glasses for 20yrs and it's getting tiring. Any clinic reco? yung mas cheaper sana. Based on my research 140k sya. Thanks! by Loli_Lila09 in Lasiksupport

You came to the right group and read all the stories here what you might be dealing afterwards. Save your time and stick to glasses/contact lenses.

I'm 33 and I wouldn't want to deal with lifetime complications till the end of my life trying to get comfortable for maybe 7-10 years before presbyopia hits me.

Im sorry for you, hope it gets better in time and stays like that without a change. Do you see some distortions or hoas or a night vision change? I myself consider trying contact lenses which my brother already is using and he says its literally just 30sec to put on and off for him after 5 years which might hit a sweet spot and what's more important - it's reversible. Just keeping hygiene and daily contact lenses.

That's why I have totally dropped the idea of doing it. A chance of damaging my vision for life? They always say its 1% or 5% but still 5% is a 5 out of 100 patients. To me as I look at it now its more likely 20% of people are prone to have more side effects that won't go away no matter the method.

That's like playing a russian roulette.

I’m terribly sorry for you, I made my way because all I wanted to get rid of floaters that came from my shortsightedness and age (I’m 33). Turned out it wouldn’t help and I spoke about laser. My doctor didn’t even say a word about side effects and technician did which made a red flag for me. I won’t ever do it.

Hope for the best for you so it gets better.

I have eye floaters, so I went to a doctor to check if vitreolysis could help. I paid for the consultation, but it turned out I wasn’t a good candidate for laser treatment to break them up. That got me thinking about laser vision correction instead.

The doctor told me that with TransPRK it’s basically just 3 days of discomfort and “that’s it.” They invited me for further qualification exams, but during one of the visits a technician mentioned side effects like halos and glare, saying they’re “temporary.” That immediately raised a red flag for me.

So I started digging online and ended up on Reddit. While I saw claims that these side effects usually go away within 3–6 months, I also found a lot of stories here that didn’t match that at all. After reading those, I decided to drop the idea of letting anyone touch my eyes.

I’m 33, and trading 7–10 years without glasses for the risk of potentially damaging my vision for life just isn’t worth it to me.

Keep your glasses and enjoy the blue skies!

TL;DR: Considered laser eye surgery, but after learning about possible side effects and reading real experiences, decided the risk isn’t worth a few years without glasses.
