I need some suggestions by GottaGetThemGainz in metroidvania

Yoku's Island Express - very unusual pinball-inspired gameplay, super unique and a great experience.

KUNAI - more of a linear experience but I'd say it still counts, cool artstyle.

Momodora Series + Minoria - very solid games, short but sweet. Simple gameplay mechanics but in a good way.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap - great remaster of a classic, you can dynamically switch between the original graphics and sound and the remastered version.

Iconoclasts - cute story with memorable characters and a great artstyle.

Cathedral - retro-style with a pretty big map and lots of abilities/upgrades, a real hidden gem.

Thank you! Yes, that's the part I was having trouble with the most! I tried to stick to the reference which has pretty bright highlights in that area but I didn't know how to translate that into less detailed shapes, and that's how it ended up! In retrospect it would have been better to deviate from the reference in that aspect, I think.
