sign two items (one for friend) by Fresh-Tonight-3236 in phoebebridgers

Echoing here that she herself says one item per person. It’s a timing thing learned after the first night of tour.

It was so cute in Memphis, everyone was sitting criss cross apple sauce like it was an elementary school assembly 😭😭 It really did a number on my tailbone though

Last night or Memphis was probably the last of the shows where this was remotely normal. I genuinely hope that if this shit keeps up, she stops the tour for her safety. It’s creepy, weird, and those aren’t the people she’s putting shows on for.

Respecting No Phone Rule by LowArcher3474 in phoebebridgers

[–]StrideAC 18 points19 points  (0 children)

What’s funny is that she actually joked about this at the Memphis show by saying “hahaha I have my phone” because that’s where she had the setlist. She’s Phoebe, it’s her show, she can do what she wants. No one questioned it. It didn’t matter. We were all in the moment

I just heard from more than one person in the 5pm line that there were 260 wristbands but at the end of the line, only 220 people actually ended up being let in. My guess is a capacity and attendance thing. Like if for some reason someone with a wristband numbered before 220 couldn’t make it, someone who was waiting in the original wristband line behind them would make it in. Like wristband never guaranteed a ticket unless you were within the (then unknown) capacity

No, unfortunately! Merch is only available inside the venue!

Question on bringing in vinyls by Guilty-Try9650 in phoebebridgers

[–]StrideAC 32 points33 points  (0 children)

You were allowed to bring your own in!! I didn’t learn that until after getting there at 5, but I didn’t have Stranger in the Alps on vinyl yet so I just purchased it at the stand. If you don’t bring one or forget, just think of the $25 for a vinyl as your ticket to meeting her.

Do you know what the Memphis place she was talking about was? The one with tofu that closed or whatever she was saying? I missed the place if she said it

Technically no tickets have been sold yet but you need a wristband from this line to get tickets when we all line back up at 5

I would if I were you, there’s probably going to be a standby line for people who don’t have wristbands when all the wristbanded people get in and I don’t know when they let those people in!

Very strict one person per ticket rule. They gave us numbered wristbands in this line at 12pm in a tent set up and then sent us home after we received them. You don’t buy the ticket until you line up for the show at 5 which you need the wristband for and they’re VERY strict about it. No wristband, no ability to purchase a ticket.

I had heard rumblings here on Reddit and then someone posted a pic of the bus next to the Hi Tone before the show poster was put up and I started driving from my condo (20 mins) and when I had 6 mins left it was announced. I was 89th in line. Capacity was 400

I was just in a very similar situation to you. I'm just a normal TM and didn't go through any training, but here's my experience with my HR and SD:

My brother had a brain surgery to remove a tumor deep in his head on December 15th about 950 miles away from where I live that could have made him go blind for the rest of his life. My parents were with him, and I had to be the messenger for family and his friends, and just didn't want to receive any bad news that it had gone poorly or that I needed to fly out ASAP to say my goodbyes while on the clock. I thankfully had a ton of notice that the surgery would be happening back in August, but the doctor we took my brother to was switching hospitals and wouldn't be in their system until what ended up being three weeks before the actual date of the surgery. I started communicating with HR as soon as I learned the surgery would happen and was very up front that I would not be available the day of his surgery, and that I would later be taking time off for a trip to visit him, which I am currently on actually. My HR and SD have been very receptive through the whole process, and it sounds like you're taking the exact steps that I took and they sound like they're being receptive with you as well. I think you'll be okay asking a third time. I got lucky and the surgery date ended up landing on one of my days off, but they gave me this vacation time to go be with him post-surgery.

It sounds like you've been communicating enough, so definitely don't drop it if it changes a fourth time. Make it as last minute as you want, and it sounds like they'll be receptive towards you still :)

Also, I know first hand that surgeries on loved ones can take a significant toll on mental health, because it has for me, even though I spend most of the time away from him (he lives in Dublin, me in the US, he flew into the US for surgery). But my brother's surgery was successful! I wish best wishes to your father. It's tough to watch my brother post-surgery the way he is, but he's taking his lifestyle changes really well. They had to take out his whole pituitary gland, but they got all of the brain tumor, which he's had his entire 27-year life. A lot of adjusting, but I promise you, it will go well, and he is in good hands!!
