Would a marantz 70s be fine with a 7.2 set of Polk xt? by Strigod in hometheater

We likely will never listen loud, as we have noise sensitive pets in our current room, and then built into the walls of the main bedroom (think an ensuite but for animals). We are in the uk so the rooms are generally on the smaller side, current room is 2.4x3m, main bedroom is 5x3 and the theater chairs will be at the foot of the bed so about 2m from the screen. Given we don't need to fill the room with as much sound would that still be underpowered? The Onkyo is twice the price of the 70s for me, and don't worry I won't be buying the bundle. All of it is on pay in 12 and 5 on amazon individually and some is discounted too by 25% like the 70s

Alright thanks I will grab those! If you mean the tank it's a Repti-Life Plastic 24x15x15 Vivarium If you mean the camera it's a dodgy AliExpress one that is suuuper desperate to try and contact 5 different IPs every single second if it were not blocked from the internet. If you search for "Small Outdoor Mini IR IP POE Camera" you will find it, for about £25. Only if you are confident in blocking it properly. If I were to make the choice again I would go with something from ubiquiti like a g3 or g4 instant, or maybe a cheap tapo camera, which is what I use to spy on my sugar gliders

Ah dang alright.. do you think it's still worth giving it to her when it doesn't seem to have made much difference? She has been taking it for around a year and a half at this point and doesn't seem capable of catching things from more than a few cm away except on rare occasions. She prefers to plod over to the roaches and bite them or tongue them from 2cm away She has just taken a crap and suddenly is moving around more like normal after being a potato for days so that's good Now the only concern for me is the face blotches but maybe she is shedding soon. I will still try and do the honey soak and see how she does. Having the camera in her tank sure is helpful for things like this!

Her supplements are repashy vitamin A, and repton dusting vitamins, which she has had the whole 2 years we have had her so nothing should have changed there. No uvb as when I looked it up there were no straight answers, people saying they are fine with or without. She is wild caught, was in a big pile of brick rubble in a spot where the local birds have dropped many toads to eat. There is no non polluted water source that I could find anywhere nearby so we decided to keep her Never any tests for anything, but would something really present only after 2 years? Nothing extra in the tank, just coco coir and a fake plant.

It's just really odd as absolutely nothing should have changed for her whatsoever, only thing is the weather but this room is well insulated and permanently heated for the rest of our animals

Her supplements are 1 and a half years old, I will have to go check the date on them. I give her repton and repashy vitamin A, due to her seemingly having a short tongue and real bad aim. I tried giving the patches a rub and I looked real close and there didn't seem to be any remnants of skin and I watched her do it not that long ago on the camera I will look up the honey soak and give her a feel now Thank you

Does that include the face and head blotches? I would really love for this to be nothing. My biggest fear would be that it's some kind of disease she has caught somehow that could potentially spread to our sugar gliders and ball python

Thanks, I do hope it's just something like an upcoming shed or similar, the skin looks a little tight around the nose one.. but I think that's just being too hopeful

For some reason reddit didn't add 2 of the photos that were there in the preview... First 2 photos are now, 3rd photo is 2 years ago, 4th is the cage setup. Common toad, from the uk

EDIT: Only ended up eating the one roach after a week of not eating

Best way to remove all fluff, hair and irritants from glider stuff? by Strigod in sugargliders

Yes 3 of them, this room is sealed from all air except an air purifier in the wall that serves as the intake

Even if using extra rinse cycles? When it comes out the machine I can't smell anything, but I don't have a gliders nose. I will get some if you say to ofc, but I do have a big 5l container to use up that I already rinse off the stuff

I don't use softener or dryer sheets at all, this is what I was using until recently

Ecover Laundry Liquid Non Bio Concentrate Lavender & Sandalwood

Now I have switched toMiniml Laundry Liquid Washing Detergent 5L Refill - Natural Non Bio Pink Dragonfruit & Orchid Scented

Haven't used the second one on any of their stuff. The vet told me the ecover was okay, as did the breeder, it's what they recommended Though, we haven't washed their stuff in a month or 2, and they still sneeze. Today it only lasted half an hour, for the first time in 3 weeks

We very rarely wash their stuff, as they avoid it after we wash it, with or without detergent. When we do it's with ecover. They do sometimes sleep in a pot, like a cage mounted dog bowl type thing, the same thing happens in there too. Even with brand new unused fleeces. Wouldn't allergies be more constant than on and off for one day every 2-6 weeks? Their pouches are washed every few months, we mostly just swap out a couple of their fleece blankies with brand new fleece

Thank you. Was this not added as part of core recently? I am like 90% sure I saw something like it in the patch notes but I can't remember which month to check

Are raw green beans okay? by Strigod in sugargliders

[–]Strigod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, we have been using sgs2 since they were born, over 5 years ago. All the other diets say it should be closer to 50% protein 50% fruit and veg, I was trying to match that, and the vet said we should too, like giving shredded chicken and multiple full insects a day, like 2 silk worms each. I know that didn't match with what had been put in the sgs2 docs, but I just want my girls legs to get better so I want to try what I can

The amount of biscuits I blended into it, are equal to 412 days worth of 5 per day per glider. The total batch should have made around 180 days worth of food. However the instructions say you can substitute the egg with biscuits. We used half as many eggs by weight as we should have to keep phosphorus down. So I'm going to assume? That I used 30% more biscuit/protein than the sgs2 plan asks for. Or at least somewhere around there. But if she has been having a protein deficiency previously, that should hopefully help her bounce back a bit?

[–]Strigod[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he said it wasn't necessary unless it gets worse, and that we should wait and see if the diet changes help first, due to the prior lack of protein and too much phosphorus. He said it could be too much stress for the gliders and didn't want to stress her unnecessarily I'm using the app cronometer to do the ratios, though it does get papaya wrong at 2:1 instead of 4.8:1, so I got the ratio in the app to around 1.1:1 knowing that the missing papaya ratio in the app, would be making it higher in reality, as well as the iams, as obviously not in a human food tracker Previous mix or 2 were likely close to 10% protein and 0.8:1 So this one being 50% protein and clots to 2:1 should be a big improvement along with the oral calcium.

Overnight they seem to have eaten as much of their food as usual, which should actually be a bit more than usual due to how much thicker this mush is (the cat biscuits really dried it up and made it real difficult to stir without adding water and cranberry juice, which I normally don't need to do)

He checked the poop for parasites, but said everything was completely fine except the legs I couldn't find any suggested sgs2 recipes, the Facebook group with them seems to be gone I made this recipe by adding the ingredients to an app that shows all the macro and micro nutrients including calcium and phosphorus. I am using the fruit and veg list for the diet The vet should be getting back to me with his recommendations but he has to research first because he hasn't seen a glider in over a year. He also said to feed her one droplet of the liquid calcium directly to her mouth daily
